Aerial Yoga: Find Your Wings with Guided Practice
Suspended in the silk hammock, yoga becomes a playful dance of release and strength. Whether you want to decompress your spine or explore new movements, my aerial sessions help you find that perfect balance of support and freedom.
Saturday feels gift me a pause, a space to flow freely without hurry. I love these moments where I can swing into my own rhythm with more comfort and ease in the aerial hammock.
After a long time, I am swaying my body to what touches my heart the most. Aerial yoga allows for a unique expression of flow and freedom, reconnecting me to my practice.
Natarajasana, or Lord of the Dance Pose, can be achieved more easily with the support of an aerial hammock. While it may not build leg strength in the same way, it helps release tightness in the spine, hips, and chest.
When we open our chest, it improves posture and clears the Heart Chakra, which is associated with love and compassion. Using the hammock, we can deepen this opening, releasing pent-up emotions and fostering well-being.
Come hang with us! Aerial yoga can be playful and fun, especially when we add a spooky theme for Halloween. It's a great way to challenge yourself and smile while doing it.
About Aerial Yoga: Find Your Wings
Aerial yoga might look like a performance, but for me, it is the most supportive way to release physical tension. Using the hammock allows me to guide you into deeper stretches and spine decompression that are difficult to achieve on the floor, while ensuring you feel completely safe and held. Whether you are aiming to increase flexibility or simply need to find a space where you can hang and breathe, the hammock acts as an extension of your own body.
Why Aerial Yoga?
For many students, standard mat yoga can feel restrictive if they are dealing with back tension or limited mobility. Aerial yoga shifts that dynamic. By using the hammock to take the weight off your joints, you can safely explore advanced poses like Natarajasana (Lord of the Dance) with better alignment and less strain. This practice is not about acrobatics, it is about creating space in your body.
My Approach to the Hammock
I treat the hammock as a tool to help you understand your own body, not as a shortcut. In my classes, we focus on:
- Spine Decompression: Using gravity to gently release tension in the neck, shoulders, and lower back.
- Alignment & Safety: I provide hands-on guidance to ensure you move with control, especially during inversions.
- Breathwork: Even when you are inverted, the breath remains the anchor. We integrate Ujjayi breathing to keep the mind calm.
Where We Practice
I teach out of several well-equipped studios across the UAE, including Defeat Fitness in JLT, Flow O2 in Arjan, and WOW Wellness in Al Barsha. These spaces provide the premium Liforme mats and secure rigging necessary for a safe, focused practice. Whether you are a beginner looking to find your footing or someone wanting to deepen their existing practice, these sessions are structured to meet you exactly where you are.
