A collection of individual moments where strength meets stillness. These images are snapshots of my daily movement, captured to inspire your own journey toward balance and inner peace.

Flow with grace, breathe with awareness, and grow with your inner voice. Nothing is permanent; letting go is not losing, it is evolving. Surrendering is the highest form of evolution.

Cleanse yourself like a child. Let go of stress and overthinking. Embrace the joy of the moment, and let playfulness and curiosity refresh your soul and reconnect you to your true, unburdened self.

Take a break from the hustle and connect with nature. Sometimes all we need is the healing touch of nature to reset both mind and body.

Amidst the noise, find silence. Amidst the ups and downs, find balance. Always stay in a playful mood, as it is the medicine that connects you with your inner child.

The Flamingo pose is a beautiful practice for body balance, strength, and transformation. It requires focus and a steady mind, which I cultivate in my online yoga classes.

Happy Dussehra to all. May the victory of good over evil, like Goddess Durga’s triumph, drive away all negativity from our lives and bring peace and harmony.

This is a practice for deep backbends. I work on it slowly and gently, using props to support my body and give it time to flow naturally into poses like Vajrasana and Kapotasana.

Allow your body to flow and melt with your breath. This practice is about creating a sense of harmony between your breath and your physical movements, letting the breath guide your body.

Take a deep breath and open your heart through a deep backbend like Chakrasana. Once you are stable and balanced, allow your body to flow with the movement.

Make a plan for the week focusing on what you truly want to improve for your health. Whether it is strength, flexibility, or calmness, practice with dedication.

About Additional Poses & Practices

I often get asked if I push for perfect flexibility in my poses. My answer always points to the Flamingo pose—it is not about how high the leg goes, but about the steady, focused gaze that keeps you grounded while you wobble. If you are struggling with a specific pose or need to know how to modify a movement to suit your current physical limits, these are the types of alignment and breath adjustments we work on together to keep your practice safe and sustainable.

Building a Sustainable Practice

Yoga is often viewed as a pursuit of the perfect 'shape,' but true practice happens in the transition and the intention behind the movement. In this collection, you see a mix of strength training, deep backbends, and meditative poses. Whether I am working on deep backbending variations like Laghu Vajrasana or finding space in a seated twist, the goal is always the same: Sthira Sukham Āsanam—finding that balance between steady and comfortable.

Why Alignment Matters

My approach to these poses is built on safety and self-awareness. I do not believe in forcing the body to mirror an image you saw online. Instead, we use props—blocks, walls, or even the natural support of your environment—to understand your body’s unique mechanics. This prevents injury and builds genuine strength that lasts beyond the mat.

Integrating Strength and Flexibility

My practice isn't limited to a single style. You will see elements of Ashtanga discipline, the intentional flow of Vinyasa, and the core-focus of Pilates. This diversity is intentional. Our bodies need both stability and mobility to thrive. If you are looking to:

  • Refine your technique: Get hands-on guidance on drishti (gaze) and bandhas.
  • Modify for safety: Learn how to use props for therapeutic relief.
  • Deepen your focus: Incorporate Ujjayi breath to steady the mind during challenging postures.

I offer private sessions across Dubai, including at Defeat Fitness in JLT and Flow O2 in Arjan, where we can break down these poses specifically for your body’s needs. If you are ready to stop chasing perfection and start feeling your way through your practice, let's connect.

I am Geetanjali, and I see every yoga pose as a meditation rather than just a workout. My practice is deeply rooted in my Assamese heritage and the lessons I have learned on the mat, focusing on how our bodies hold emotion and history. I simply share what has kept me steady through life's changes, helping you find your own rhythm.
