About Aerial Yoga: Take Flight
The magic of the hammock is the instant feedback it gives your spine. Instead of straining on a hard floor, the silk gently cradles your body, letting you find alignment in inversions without the usual pressure on your neck or lower back. It is the fastest way I have seen students unlock tight shoulders and hips.
Many people walk into my Defence Colony studio thinking they are too stiff for aerial yoga. Toh chhodiye woh galat soch (Leave that old thinking). You do not need to be a human noodle to start; the hammock is specifically designed to provide the support you are currently missing.
We use the silk to decompress the spine, which is incredibly relieving if you spend hours at a desk. The sequence moves from gentle, cradle-like support to active strengthening flows.
Why it works:
- Safety First: We use small batches—typically 8 to 12 students. This allows me to personally check your grip and alignment, especially when we are working on inversions.
- Real Progress: The hammock acts like a teacher, showing you where you are holding tension. If your back hurts or your posture is hunched, the silk does the heavy lifting, allowing you to access a deeper stretch than you could on a flat mat.
- Mindset: When you finally hold that first suspended pose, the fear of falling disappears, and you realise your body is much stronger than you thought.
Whether you want to fix chronic back pain or simply crave a new challenge, we work with where you are today. Sab chalega (everyone is welcome).
