About Outdoor Yoga in Namma Bengaluru
Practicing outdoors in Bengaluru is quite a shift from a studio setting. You get the fresh air, the calming energy of nature, and a real sense of community that you just do not find between four walls. Whether we are gathered at Cubbon Park or heading out for a weekend trek, the focus remains the same—a balanced Hatha-Vinyasa flow, intentional breathwork, and, of course, a little bit of banter. Just bring your own mat and water; the rest, we figure out together.
Moving your practice outside changes your relationship with the mat. In my outdoor sessions, I bring the same focus on alignment and breathwork I use in studio classes, just with a lot more space to breathe. We usually meet early to catch the morning light, making it a great way to start your day in namma Bengaluru.
What a Session Looks Like
We typically start with a Hatha-Vinyasa mix that is accessible for everyone, regardless of your experience level. We focus on grounding, dynamic Surya Namaskara to build heat, and standing series that help you connect with the terrain. We always wrap up with a guided Shavasana. There is something truly special about hearing the city wake up while you rest.
Safety First
Aiyo, just because we are in a park does not mean form does not matter. I am still the same teacher who cares about your alignment. I keep an eye on everyone to make sure you are practicing safely. I will be there to help you adjust and make sure you are moving with intention, not just checking boxes.
Locations and Logistics
I love to switch up our locations to keep things fresh. Some weeks we are at heritage spots or expansive parks like Cubbon Park and Lalbagh. Other times, we head out for treks like Uttari Betta, which offer a stunning backdrop for practice. Since these are outdoor sessions, please remember to bring your own mat, water, and comfortable gear.
