The Himalayas aren't just a destination, they are a place to pause. Join me on journeys through the mountains where we align our breath, body, and spirit against the backdrop of sacred peaks.

A glimpse of our journey to Kedarnath, from the winding mountain trails to the sacred temple. Each step is a meditation.

Walking the path to self-discovery. The trek itself is part of the practice, teaching us endurance, presence, and the joy of the journey.

Arriving at the destination. The walk towards the Kedarnath temple is filled with devotion and anticipation, a culmination of the physical and spiritual effort.

Receiving blessings before the Adiyogi statue in Kedarnath. A moment of surrender and connection to the source of yoga.

A quiet moment of reflection at the Kedarnath temple, a place that radiates peace and timeless energy.

In the Himalayas, we support each other's growth. Here, I am assisting a student with her headstand in the snow, proving that with the right guidance, you can overcome any challenge.

Exploring the Key Monastery in Spiti Valley. Our retreats include immersing ourselves in the local culture and spiritual heritage of these profound places.

A moment of quiet contemplation at the Key Monastery. The quote from Buddha reminds us to appreciate what we have, right here, right now.

The vast, open landscapes of Spiti Valley invite you to walk, breathe, and just be. It's a place that teaches you about both the power and the peace of nature.

Walking by the serene Chandrataal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake. Its crystal-clear water reflects the purity we seek to find within ourselves.

About Himalayan Retreats: A Journey to the Source

We aren't here for luxury, we are here for stillness. On these 7-day journeys, we stay in basic local homestays or monastery rooms because simplicity is essential for shedding the city noise. Whether we are practicing Vinyasa on a monastery terrace in Spiti or meditating near a glacial river, the focus remains on Samatvam, or finding balance amidst the raw, high-altitude terrain.

A Work-In, Not a Workout

Most people come to the mountains to escape, but I invite you to come here to arrive. My Himalayan retreats are designed as a 'work-in' where the trek itself becomes a meditation. We move through places like Kedarnath and Spiti not just to see the sights, but to align our internal compass with the stillness of the peaks.

What to Expect

These retreats are immersive and intentionally simple. We travel from Delhi as a group, and your stay will be in local homestays or monastery quarters. There is no heating in the common areas and we eat simple, vegetarian meals like Thukpa and Dal Chawal.

  • Daily Routine: We start with morning flow sessions and end with restorative Yin yoga.
  • Environment: We practice on natural ground—monastery terraces, riverbanks, and meadows. You must be prepared to carry your own day pack and adapt to high-altitude conditions.
  • The Practice: This is about more than asanas. We integrate pranayama and Osho-style active meditation to help clear the mental clutter that accumulates from our city lives.

Why the Mountains?

I believe the energy in the Himalayas amplifies your practice. Whether it is the profound silence near Chandrataal Lake or the devotion felt at Kedarnath, these landscapes strip away the unnecessary, leaving you with only what is essential. This is an invitation to invest in yourself, to leave the race behind, and to find that sukoon (peace) that exists within you, not in the world outside.

I am Sachin. I started this journey after realizing that the race we are all running—school, work, the constant noise—does not lead to peace. My retreats are spaces I create to help you find your own *sukoon*, just like I did in the mountains.
