Aerial Yoga Classes: Build Strength and Fly
Ready to get off the mat and into the air? Aerial yoga is the perfect mix of play and serious strength work. Whether you want to decompress your spine or just hang upside down, we start slow and safe.
Using the aerial silk to support a deep backbend. This allows for a greater range of motion and releases tension in the spine.
Can you do this? Aerial yoga lets you explore challenging poses like this supported handstand with splits, making the impossible feel possible.
Exploring a deep quad stretch in the aerial silks. The fabric provides support, allowing me to focus on the stretch without straining.
The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind. An aerial handstand with splits, a pose that requires both strength and grace.
This is aerial yoga strength. Using the silk as a base for a plank pose while a partner performs an inversion on top.
We have some powerful ladies in our studio. Here, a student uses the aerial silk for a supported backbend, building strength and flexibility.
Finding my balance in the aerial hammock. This pose strengthens the legs and core while opening the hips.
One breath at a time, one step to self. A gentle swing in the aerial hammock is a perfect way to stretch the body and still the mind.
The body achieves what the mind believes. A student finds her confidence and grace in the aerial silks.
A creative partner pose using the aerial hammock for support. It's a fun way to explore trust and balance.
About Aerial Yoga
This isn't about looking perfect. It is about letting the silk take your weight so your back can finally release that chronic tightness. I keep the batches tiny, usually 6 to 8 students, because when you are suspended, you need a watchful eye and real physical spotting, not just a teacher shouting instructions from the front of the room.
Aerial yoga is one of my favourite ways to practice because it forces you to stop overthinking and just let go. You are relying on the hammock to hold you, which is a massive mental shift. We use professional nylon tricot silk hammocks anchored securely in the ceiling, allowing you to explore movement without the usual pressure on your joints.
Why Practice Aerial Yoga?
- Spinal Decompression: When you hang upside down, gravity pulls on your spine in the opposite direction. It helps relieve pressure between vertebrae and feels amazing after a long day of sitting.
- Core Strength: Because the silk is unstable, your core muscles work double time to keep you balanced.
- Safe Inversions: Inversions like headstands can be intimidating on a mat. With the silk, you can get the benefits of being upside down while feeling completely supported.
What To Expect In My Studio
My studio in Gujranwala Town is built for this. We have professional rigging and height-adjustable daisy chains so we can set the hammock exactly where you need it. We start with simple climbs and wraps, and only move to flips and drops once you are confident. I do not care if you can't do a pull-up yet. We work on your grip and upper body strength, one class at a time. Shareer hi asli sampatti hai (the body is the real wealth), so we treat it with patience and care. Whether you are looking for therapy for back pain or just want a new challenge, we will find your flow.
Arya Yoga Studio
I believe yoga is therapy. In my studio, we don't just do poses, we build a bond with our bodies. Come fly with me and find your inner peace through movement.
