About Advanced Asana Gallery
People think advanced asanas like Mayur Chal or deep inversions are all about showing off. In reality, mastering these requires understanding the mechanics of your own body—knowing exactly when to engage your core and how to use props like wall ropes or blocks to safely find your edge. You do not just jump into these poses, you build the pathway to them.
Advanced practice is the logical next step when you stop treating yoga as a once-a-week stretch and start treating it as a discipline. At Yoga Fettle Journey, we approach 'advanced' differently. It is not about how deep you can bend or how long you can hold a headstand; it is about the intelligence behind the movement.
The Science of Progression
We focus on the anatomy of the pose. Whether it is a scorpion handstand or a complex arm balance, we break it down into manageable progressions. We use Iyengar-style wall ropes, blocks, and straps to give your body the support it needs before you ever try to balance on your own. This ensures that you aren't just forcing your body into a shape, but actually training the muscles required to hold it.
Mind, Body, and Breath
Advanced asanas demand more than just physical strength. They require a 'monkey mind' to be quiet. When you are upside down or balancing on your palms, your breath is the only anchor you have. We teach you how to use Pranayama to regulate your nervous system during these challenging flows. This is what separates a gym workout from yoga.
Who This Is For
You do not need to be super flexible to start. If you have been practicing consistently, or if you are looking to become a teacher yourself, we have the space for you. We keep our batches small in our Defence Colony studio, usually 8 to 12 students, so I can personally spot you and adjust your alignment. Safety is the priority here. We focus on therapeutic alignment to ensure that your advanced practice doesn't lead to injuries, but to healing and longevity.
