About Learn With Us: Yoga Insights
Stop worrying if you cannot touch your toes today. Flexibility is the result of practice, not the prerequisite. In these sessions, we focus on where you are starting from—using props, wall ropes, and correct alignment—so you can safely build strength without risking injury, regardless of your current mobility levels.
Understand Your Practice
Yoga is often misunderstood. Many people think it is just 'stretching' or reserved for those who are already bendy. My goal is to change that. When you join us, whether at our Defence Colony studio or online, we break down the science of how your body and mind work together.
The Three Layers of Mind
In our meditation sessions, we explore how the mind functions in three distinct stages:
- Conscious Mind: This is your awareness, thoughts, and daily decisions. It is the first layer you encounter.
- Subconscious Mind: This is where habits and emotions are stored. This is the 'healing phase' where people often feel lighter or find emotional release.
- Unconscious Mind: The deepest layer where we reach true stillness and time seems to disappear.
Why Expert Guidance Matters
You wouldn't ask a heart doctor for advice on your eyes, so why take health advice from someone who isn't a qualified yoga expert? There is a lot of misinformation out there. In our insights sessions, we emphasize:
- Safe Alignment: Using Iyengar-style props to support your body.
- Practical Healing: How to address specific issues like back pain or stress without fads.
- Real Progression: Why consistent, disciplined movement beats 'quick fixes' every time.
