About Yoga & Prasadam Workshops
These workshops are not about rushing through a workout. We begin with a 90-minute Vinyasa flow to open the body, but the core of the experience happens when we sit down together for a traditional Sadhya served on a banana leaf. It is a small-group setup, so bring your mat and an appetite for a meal prepared with the same intention as the practice itself.
Why combine Yoga and Food?
I believe that what we consume—both in terms of movement and nourishment—shapes our energy. Yoga Prasadam is my way of bringing the discipline of the mat to the simplicity of the table. You are not just coming for a class; you are coming to understand the connection between mindful movement and honest food.
What to expect at a workshop
- The Practice: We typically spend 90 minutes in an Ashtanga Vinyasa or Mysore-style flow. It is suitable for beginners and those with some practice. The focus is on your breath and finding your own rhythm, not on performing difficult poses.
- The Feast: After the session, we share a traditional Kerala Sadhya. This is a vegetarian spread served on a banana leaf. You will taste home-ground spices in dishes like Avial, Thoran, and Parippu, finished with a classic Payasam.
- The Environment: I host these in small groups to keep the atmosphere intimate. We often use traditional floor seating, so please come prepared to sit comfortably.
Practical details
- What to bring: Please carry your own yoga mat.
- Dietary requests: Everything on the menu is vegetarian. If you have specific dietary needs like vegan or gluten-free requirements, let me know in advance so I can prepare accordingly.
- Locations: I host these sessions in various spaces across the Mumbai metropolitan area, including studios and banquet halls in the Seawoods area.
