A Peek Into Our Daily Classroom Magic
Every day at Yellow Brick Way is a mix of structure, laughter, and messy creativity. Take a look at the real moments that happen when we put the books down and pick up the puppets.
A quick look back at 13 magical years of Yellow Brick Way. From our first class in 2010 to 20 batches strong today, I am so grateful for every student and every moment.
About More Classroom Moments
Our classrooms are rarely silent, and that is by design. You will often find us sprawled on the floor with vocabulary games, rushing to pick props for an impromptu scene, or analyzing scripts with red pens in hand. We believe that if a child is having fun and moving around, they are actually retaining the lessons we teach rather than just memorizing them for a test.
How We Balance Structure and Play
We know that learning to speak confidently isn't just about reading from a textbook. In our Juhu classroom, we blend serious academic preparation with the kind of play that kids actually enjoy.
When we prep students for Trinity College London exams, we use their frameworks, but we do it with a twist. You might see a student reciting a monologue while holding a specific prop to help them embody a character, or a group playing 'Show and Tell' to get comfortable in front of an audience. This method helps normalize public speaking, turning it from a scary school requirement into a fun creative outlet.
Why the Chaos Works
Some might call our sessions messy, but we call it engagement. By using costumes, shadow puppets, and impromptu storytelling, we lower the pressure. A shy child who might be afraid to speak up during a formal lecture often finds their voice when they are wearing a hat or role-playing a character.
We keep our classes small and group-based to ensure that every student gets a chance to participate. Whether we are doing phonics drills, pronunciation exercises, or full-scale scriptwriting, our focus is on building the skill first. The confidence comes naturally once the child realizes they have something important to say.
Yellow Brick Way
We are Yellow Brick Way, and we have spent the last 13 years turning shy kids into confident storytellers. We know that real learning happens in the 'oops' moments, the improvised lines, and the quiet breakthroughs in our Juhu classroom.
