About English Language Enrichment
I believe English is more than just a subject - it's a way for kids to express themselves and connect with the world. My aim is to help them find their voice, not just chase marks. We mix structured lessons with creative play, so learning feels natural and fun.
How We Build Skills
- Reading isn't just about finishing a book. We do interactive reading sessions, from Dr. Seuss to graphic novels, with lots of questions and discussions. Kids learn how to stand, hold a book, and make eye contact, so they're ready to share stories with confidence.
- Vocabulary games for children are a big part of our classes. We play custom Scrabble, color-coded sentence searches, and silly word card games. Pronunciation gets special attention - those tricky words don't stand a chance.
- Storytelling and drama are where kids really shine. With props, costumes, and impromptu stories, even shy kids open up. Role-playing, puppetry, and our own version of 'Show and Tell' help them practice public speaking for young learners in a low-pressure way.
Our Classroom Vibe
Our space is bright and welcoming. We sit in circles, share, laugh, and learn together. Group classes bring out teamwork, while one-on-one sessions give personal focus. Guest Speaker Week lets kids hear real stories from parents and professionals.
We aren't perfect, but we're always learning. Every day is a step forward, and honestly, it's exhausting but worth it.

My Story
Hey, I’m Salonie - founder, drama queen (good kind), and your biggest cheerleader at Yellow Brick Way. Been at this for 15 years, diploma in hand, files from way back still in use! Teaching over 1000 students, watching them grow, even seeing one turn intern - that’s my jam. YBW? More than classes. It’s a wild, messy, magical family where stage-shy kids turn into confident stars, with a dash of sass and sparkle.
My Work
Speech & Drama, Communication, Reading - We run classes for all ages, from speech and drama to reading and vocabulary building. Trinity College London exam prep too.
Fun, Creative Learning - Costumes, props, games, shadow puppets - our classes are chaos and magic. Memories made in messy moments.
Impromptu Speaking Skills - We throw students curveballs - objects, topics, whatever. Think mad hatter, present like a CEO.
Group and One-on-One Classes - Group sessions for teamwork, one-on-one for personal growth and safe sharing. Both matter equally.
Trinity College London Exam Preparation - We prep kids for GESE exams with Trinity’s structure, but our YBW twist keeps it real and creative.
