About Public Speaking & Drama
Why We Do What We Do
At Yellow Brick Way, we live for those moments when a child finds their voice or gets lost in a story they’re telling. We’ve spent over 15 years helping kids grow, not just for exams, but for life. Watching shy kids step up and lead, or seeing a group pull off a play all by themselves - that’s what keeps us going.
How We Make Learning Fun
Our classes are a mix of joyful chaos and structure. We believe learning should feel like play, so we use games, role-play, and creative projects. No boring lectures here. Kids get to try, fail, laugh, and learn together. We make sure everyone feels safe to speak up, ask questions, and make mistakes.
What Happens in Class
- Confidence building for kids is at the heart of everything. We help them speak clearly, think on their feet, and express themselves.
- Drama activities for children include improv, group scenes, and character work. Sometimes it’s silly, sometimes serious, always creative.
- Impromptu speaking practice is a regular thing - random topics, debates, and presentations keep everyone sharp.
- We mix Trinity College London’s framework with our own style, so kids get both structure and freedom.
- Storytelling sessions, shadow puppetry, and mime let imaginations run wild.
Keeping It Real
We’re not perfect. We mess up, we learn, and we get better with every class. What we promise is energy, passion, and a safe space for your child to grow. We love what we do, even on the days it’s exhausting.

My Story
Hey, I’m Salonie - founder, drama queen (good kind), and your biggest cheerleader at Yellow Brick Way. Been at this for 15 years, diploma in hand, files from way back still in use! Teaching over 1000 students, watching them grow, even seeing one turn intern - that’s my jam. YBW? More than classes. It’s a wild, messy, magical family where stage-shy kids turn into confident stars, with a dash of sass and sparkle.
My Work
Speech & Drama, Communication, Reading - We run classes for all ages, from speech and drama to reading and vocabulary building. Trinity College London exam prep too.
Fun, Creative Learning - Costumes, props, games, shadow puppets - our classes are chaos and magic. Memories made in messy moments.
Impromptu Speaking Skills - We throw students curveballs - objects, topics, whatever. Think mad hatter, present like a CEO.
Group and One-on-One Classes - Group sessions for teamwork, one-on-one for personal growth and safe sharing. Both matter equally.
Trinity College London Exam Preparation - We prep kids for GESE exams with Trinity’s structure, but our YBW twist keeps it real and creative.
