Learning Through Play and Classroom Activities
We believe learning happens best when it feels like play. From phonics to creative drama, our classroom in Churchgate and Lalbaug is designed to help children find their voice and spark their imagination.
The look of surprise and wonder on their faces during story time is priceless. We use dramatic expression to make every tale an adventure.

Our phonics and reading program is interactive and fun. We guide children from recognizing letters and sounds to confidently reading sentences on their own.
A typical day in our class involves group discussions and storytelling circles, where children learn to listen, take turns, and share their ideas.
Group hugs are a regular occurrence here. We foster a sense of community and emotional expression in all our activities.

About Learning Through Play: Our Classroom Activities
We don't just teach from a textbook. If you peek into our classroom, you'll see kids acting out stories like Goldilocks or running a pretend 'Happy Kidds Restaurant.' This hands-on approach is how we bridge the gap between simple play and building the essential communication skills and confidence they will carry into school and life.
Our Classroom Approach
Our curriculum is built on the belief that children learn fastest when they are having fun. Whether we are practicing phonics through interactive games or using music and movement to explore a story, our goal is to keep engagement high and anxiety low.
- Language & Phonics: We move from letter recognition to fluent reading through fun, multisensory activities. We make sure every child gets the attention they need to grasp sounds, ensuring they feel successful rather than overwhelmed.
- Role-Play & Social Skills: Our 'Happy Kidds Restaurant' isn't just a game; it is a structured way to teach collaboration, vocabulary, and social etiquette. By pretending to be restaurant staff or customers, kids navigate real-world social scenarios in a safe environment.
- A Second Home: We know that a child can only learn when they feel safe. Our Churchgate and Lalbaug centers are designed to be warm, welcoming spaces where friendships are made and big talks happen. It is not uncommon to see our older students returning to help mentor the little ones, creating a full-circle community that feels more like an extended family than a school.
- Structured Progression: From toddler years to teenage milestones, we offer a steady path. For those ready for more challenge, we incorporate Trinity College London exam prep, ensuring that their creative growth also has a clear, internationally recognized roadmap.
Happy Kidds
We are Reshmma and BBijal. We started Happy Kidds with just one child twenty years ago, and today, we are proud to be a second home to hundreds of families. Our passion is watching our tiny tots grow, gain confidence, and eventually come back to mentor the next generation.
