Nature-Based Yoga Retreats & Mindful Treks
Yoga happens when you step out of city chaos and into the wild. Join me on journeys to find balance, stillness, and breath in nature.
This is why I believe so strongly in the power of nature. When we step into the wilderness, our entire being becomes more pleasant. I see it on every trek, whether we are walking through a forest, meditating on a hilltop, or simply breathing by a waterfall. Access to nature is essential for a positive life.
Finding balance and stillness with Samakonasana at the peak of Savanadurga hill. Reaching the summit of a trek is not just a physical achievement; it is a chance to connect with the vastness around you and the stillness within. This is a moment of pure presence.
Practicing an advanced asana amidst the waves at Gokarna beach. The ocean teaches us that thoughts and feelings are like waves, they come and go. Through yoga, we find the part of us that remains constant and calm, even in the midst of movement.
We all need a break from the noise of city life. This is what we offer: a chance to escape, even for just a day. On our treks near Bangalore, we leave the traffic behind and find quiet spaces to meditate, breathe, and reconnect with the earth.
A glimpse into our spiritual journey to the Himalayas. Here, a group of us stand together before the Madhyamaheshwar temple after a challenging trek. These trips are about more than just walking; they are about shared experiences, devotion, and finding strength in community.
Celebrating International Yoga Day with a session in the lap of the Tungabhadra river in Hampi. Practicing yoga in such a historic and powerful place helps us connect to something ancient and timeless. It brings a deep sense of peace and well being.
It is a joy to introduce children to the practice of yoga in nature. When we expose them to the outdoors, their own nature becomes calmer and more pleasant. These family friendly treks are about planting the seeds of mindfulness and a love for the wild.
About Featured
When you join one of my retreats, you do not need to worry about the logistics. I handle everything from round-trip shared transport out of Bangalore and forest permits to simple vegetarian meals and trekking poles. You just need to show up, ready to breathe and move.
Nature is the real teacher, and that is why I take my classes out of the studio and into the wild. Whether it is practicing Samakonasana on the rocks of Savanadurga or meditating by the Tungabhadra river in Hampi, these experiences are designed to shift your state of mind.
My approach is simple: we combine movement with silence. We use breathwork to handle the high-altitude terrain on our Himalayan Yatras and gentle yoga to ground ourselves during coastal retreats in Gokarna. It is not just about the trek or the pose; it is about reaching a point where your own nature becomes calmer and more pleasant.
I lead these groups personally, ensuring the pace is right for everyone, whether you are a beginner looking for your first nature retreat or someone seeking a deeper spiritual practice. Naanu yaavagalu heltini—I always say—we as Indians must practice yoga, and doing it in the open, under the sky, makes all the difference.
Here is how we typically structure these experiences:
- One-Day Local Treks: Perfect for a quick escape from Bangalore traffic.
- Weekend Retreats: Immersive stays in places like Hampi and Gokarna.
- Himalayan Yatras: Dedicated 7-day journeys focusing on high-altitude breathwork and spiritual connection.
Practice yoga, walk with nature, and let the transformation happen. 🙏
