If you struggle with back stiffness, the Cat Pose, or Marjariasana, is a simple and amazing movement for relief. I focus on gentle poses like this in my therapeutic classes to help strengthen the lower and middle back, making it more mobile and flexible.

The Cobra Pose, or Bhujangasana, is a gentle backbend that is excellent for relieving stiffness in the spine. It's a core part of my therapeutic sequences to help improve posture and reduce lower back pain.

This is an easy arms and shoulder yoga flow that you can try at home. These movements are designed to build strength and release tension in the upper body, which is great if you experience nerve tingling or shoulder stiffness.

This is the Revolved Wide-Legged Standing Forward Fold. Spinal twists like this are so important for keeping the back active and strong. It also gives a wonderful stretch to the hamstrings, hips, and lower back.

A strong core is essential for supporting your back and improving posture. This video shows a simple, no-equipment functional core workout with exercises like crunches and planks that we often do in my classes.

Lunges are a fantastic exercise for strengthening the lower body, including the quads, glutes, and hamstrings. Building strength here provides better support for your entire body and can help improve stamina.

These are modified pushups, a great way to build upper body strength in the triceps, chest, and shoulders without putting too much strain on the wrists. Even a little movement like this can make you feel more energetic.

Before we start, I dedicate 5-10 minutes to a 'body scan' discussion to assess your current pain levels, energy, or specific symptoms like swelling or heartburn. This allows me to create a flow that addresses your immediate needs, rather than following a generic routine. Whether we are working with modified pushups or Cat-Cow stretches to lubricate your joints, every movement is customized to ensure your comfort and safety.

Pain is the body’s way of asking for attention, and my therapeutic yoga classes are designed to listen. Whether you struggle with chronic lower back stiffness, nerve tingling in your arms, or are navigating the physical changes of pregnancy, I focus on consistent, gentle movements that bridge the gap between restriction and mobility.

My Therapeutic Approach

My sessions are built on the principle that progress matters more than perfection. In our private 1-on-1 sessions, I provide real-time safety monitoring via Zoom. We start by looking at how you feel that day—whether it is post-work shoulder tension or pregnancy-related heartburn. Based on this, I adapt the flow instantly.

We use accessible props like chairs or dupattas to make poses achievable. For instance, Marjariasana (Cat Pose) is a staple for lower back mobility, while Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) helps counteract sedentary work posture. By focusing on joint lubrication and spinal mobility, we aim to reduce the daily discomfort that often builds up in our muscles.

Prenatal and Women’s Wellness

For expecting moms, the focus shifts to creating space in the body. We work on pelvic floor health and hip-opening stretches like the Butterfly Pose to support you through all trimesters. This is not about intense exercise; it is about preparation, breathing, and ensuring you feel supported as your body changes.
