About Tabla for Fusion & Collaborative Projects
My Approach to Fusion & Collaboration
Music keeps me curious - it's a journey, not a destination. What I enjoy most is seeing how the tabla can fit right in with all sorts of genres and artists. You put a Swedish drummer and a Mumbai tabla player together and something just happens. Those 'wah wah' moments are why I do this.
Where My Tabla Meets Other Sounds
I love mixing the traditional tabla with new genres. Whether it's jazz tabla fusion performance, hip-hop beats, or world percussion, I keep exploring fresh ideas. I've played in jazz meets Kathak shows, jammed live with folk artists, and even added tabla grooves to rap tracks. Sometimes, it’s all about the energy - kya baat hai (what a vibe) when it just clicks.
How We Can Work Together
- Live fusion sets, bringing tabla to the stage with other musicians for that real-time buzz.
- Creative jams and studio sessions where I add not just tabla but also cajon, shakers, and whatever brings the groove.
- Remote tabla recording sessions - happy to work online, send files, build tracks together no matter where you are.
- If you want something out-of-the-box, I love experimenting. I use Ableton Live to sample my own tabla, layer electronic sounds, and modify instruments for new textures.
Staying Rooted
As much as I experiment, my music stands on the tradition of the gurus and gharanas I’ve learned from. That foundation lets me push boundaries without losing what makes the tabla special.

My Story
Honestly, I feel lucky every day to be on this crazy musical ride. Playing with legends, jamming with strangers from Sweden, sharing the stage with Sounak da at Basant Utsav in Pune—these moments are everything. Ken Zuckerman ji taught me, even in his last concert, to keep chasing perfection, never settle. Music’s a language, doesn’t matter where you’re from. I just try to pass on the fun, the good vibes, and maybe a bit of that magic.
My Work
Tabla Performances & Accompaniment - I play tabla for Indian classical concerts, fusion tabla performance, Rabindrasangeet, and more. Always up for something new.
Collaborative Spirit - Love impromptu live music jam sessions—be it with jazz folks, hip-hop artists, or classical maestros. Open to wild ideas.
Live Concerts & Events - Mostly on stage at festivals, corporate gigs, private shows across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata. Live energy is unbeatable.
Studio & Recording - Studio tabla recording is a different buzz—laying down tracks, building something that lasts beyond the show.
