Swimming Classes for Kids and Toddlers
Swimming is a non-negotiable life skill for every child. We start with water familiarization and simple, play-based drills to build lasting confidence.
THE JOURNEY STARTS. This is Anaya's progress from March to June. We begin by building comfort and safety, using aids like floats, and then progress to independent swimming. Every child's journey is about equipping them with this life saving skill.
HOLDING YOUR BREATH IS A KEY SKILL. A crucial part of learning to swim is being comfortable with your face in the water. I guide young children through this step by step, ensuring they build confidence and control at their own pace.
FROM TIMID STROKES TO CONFIDENT GLIDES. Discipline leads to habits, and habits lead to growth. This video shows a young swimmer's progression, becoming stronger and more confident with each lap. This is how we build a foundation for a lifetime of swimming.
LEARNING BODY POSITIONING THROUGH PLAY. For young kids, swimming should always be fun. Here, a 5 year old learns about body position and blowing bubbles. Using games and simple drills helps build mobility and strength naturally.
MASTERING BUBBLES. Proper breathing is fundamental. I teach kids how to blow bubbles correctly, which is the first step to controlling their breath underwater. This simple exercise is essential for building water confidence.
FUN AND MEMORABLE LEARNING. For young children, physical and mental growth is critical. I make sessions fun with activities like jumping and kicking to improve balance, posture, and coordination, developing their motor skills while they play.
A TEAM OF HAPPY SWIMMERS. Happy and joyful children learn faster. I create a positive group environment where kids feel supported by their peers and coaches, making every swimming session something to look forward to.
TRAIN THEM YOUNG AND LET THEM DREAM. Posing with my group of young swimmers. My goal is to instill a love for the water at an early age, giving them the confidence and skills to dream big.
WE ARE THE ONES. Another proud moment with my team of young athletes. Together with my coaching staff, we work to build a strong foundation based on discipline and teamwork.
FROM PRACTICE TO THE FIRST SWIM MEET. First comes intention, then action, then habit. These young swimmers at the Open Swim Meet 2024 are proof of that process. We start with the basics and build towards moments like these.
About The Journey Begins: For Kids and Toddlers
Most parents arrive worried about how their child will react to the water. We do not jump into competitive strokes on day one. We start with sensory play and breath control, ensuring your child learns to trust the water before they ever try to swim. It is a slow, methodical process that prioritizes water safety and confidence over speed.
Our Approach to Early Water Skills
We structure our training into a 2-month cycle to ensure consistency, which is the only way to build true competence. A child needs to show up 3 times a week to turn these movements into habits.
Our 'Kids Skill Development Batch' is designed for children ages 4 and up, but we also offer private, 1-on-1 coaching for infants as young as 6 months.
- Play-Based Learning: We use games to teach coordination and balance. A child who is having fun learns faster because their brain is engaged, not anxious.
- The Foundation: We focus on 'drown-proofing'. This means teaching your child how to float, how to hold their breath, and how to stay calm if they ever find themselves in trouble.
- Strict Discipline: While the environment is fun, we are disciplined about safety. We maintain small group sizes (5 to 8 students) to ensure every child gets the attention they need during our pool sessions in Andheri West.
What to Expect
If you are coming for the group sessions at venues like Raheja Classic, bring your own swimming gear. We provide the kickboards and pull buoys. If your child is fearful, we use float therapy and in-water tactile guidance to help them relax.
Remember, swimming is not just a sport. It is a vital safety skill that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Consistency is the hard part, but once they find that ease in the water, it stays with them forever.
