A sun-drenched sanctuary in Bandra designed to embrace the ocean view with a warm, feminine touch.

This plush, rust-toned armchair sitting in a sunlit corner is the epitome of the 'sunkissed sanctuary' we created. It's a perfect example of using statement furniture and natural light to design a space for peaceful moments.

An expansive view of the living area, showcasing the stunning ocean view that inspired the home's design. The placement of the curved armchair invites you to sit and soak in the natural beauty, a key element of our nature-inspired interior philosophy.

An open-plan living space designed for serenity and flow. The large, comfortable sectional sofa, paired with organic-shaped wooden coffee tables and soft, pleated pendant lights, creates a cohesive and tranquil environment.

A brief video tour showing the interplay of light and texture in the living room. From the sunset view over the ocean to the bespoke textured artwork and plush tufted sofa, every detail contributes to an ambiance of warmth and tranquility.

The warm glow of the evening sun highlights the custom textured artwork and the soft, tufted sofa. This view demonstrates our focus on creating a tranquil ambiance through carefully selected art, lighting, and comfortable furnishings.

Another perspective of the living room, where the golden hour light illuminates the space. The combination of the tufted grey sofa, nested wooden tables, and textured art pieces creates a layered and sophisticated look.

The entrance foyer sets a welcoming tone with a grand, arched teak wood mirror and a stylish upholstered pouf. This composition shows our approach to creating elegant and functional entryways that make a lasting first impression.

A walkthrough revealing the seamless connection between different zones. We designed this home with an open layout, using consistent materials like statuario marble and teak wood to link the living, dining, and bar areas.

The dining area features a solid wood table and a comfortable bench, perfect for intimate meals. The textured wall art adds a layer of sophistication, continuing the theme of organic luxury and attention to detail.

A closer look at the dining setup, where a beautiful floral arrangement adds a touch of nature. The clean lines of the furniture contrast with the organic forms of the decor, creating a balanced and harmonious space.

About Project: House on the Hill (Sunkissed Sanctuary)

Designing this Pali Hill residence required a delicate balance between the expansive ocean view and the need for a cozy, intimate retreat. We rounded off every wall corner and structural beam to soften the architectural lines, ensuring the space feels like a gentle, continuous flow rather than a series of rigid rooms.

The core of this project, which we fondly call the House on the Hill, was to build a sanctuary that captures the warm, feminine energy of the home. Our approach focused on organic luxury—a concept that prioritizes comfort and tranquility over flashy trends. We paired the raw, natural warmth of teak wood with the polished, sophisticated finish of Statuario marble to ground the airy, light-filled rooms.

Throughout the home, you will notice a consistent focus on tactile elements. The living area features plush tufted sofas and curved armchairs that invite relaxation, while the custom joinery was designed to blend seamlessly into the structure. To maximize the natural golden hour light, we strategically placed large mirrors and light-reflective surfaces, making the interior feel open and expansive.

Every piece, from the textured wall art to the custom shoe cabinet in the foyer, was selected to reflect a cohesive narrative of understated elegance. The collaboration with my sister, Shuchi, was essential in layering these soft, feminine touches that make the space feel alive. Whether you are looking for a full-scale renovation or just a design consultation for your own home in Mumbai, our process always begins by listening to your specific needs and translating them into a living environment that stands the test of time.
