This plush, rust-toned armchair sitting in a sunlit corner is the epitome of the 'sunkissed sanctuary' we created. It's a perfect example of using statement furniture and natural light to design a space for peaceful moments.

About Project: House on the Hill (Sunkissed Sanctuary)

Designing this Pali Hill residence required a delicate balance between the expansive ocean view and the need for a cozy, intimate retreat. We rounded off every wall corner and structural beam to soften the architectural lines, ensuring the space feels like a gentle, continuous flow rather than a series of rigid rooms.

I am Twisha, and I love turning raw spaces into stories. This Pali Hill home was a special project because we were able to balance the stunning ocean view with a warm, soft touch. My sister Shuchi and I worked closely to make sure every corner felt like a comfortable, personal escape.

The winding staircase is the defining element of the Worli Duplex, its sculptural form anchoring the home's circulation. We designed its gentle curve to break the apartment's orthogonal geometry, creating a sense of fluid movement between the two levels.15
The dining area and staircase are viewed as a cohesive whole, showcasing the flow between social spaces. The material palette of wood, marble, and soft textiles, along with curated art and lighting, creates an atmosphere of understated elegance.
An extension of the living spaces, this breezy open deck offers a place to unwind with views of the city. We selected modern, comfortable outdoor furniture from Jośmo Studio to create an urban oasis for reading, hosting, or simply enjoying the view.

This living room is the heart of a home designed for tranquility. Sunlight streams in, highlighting the geometric floor tiles and the rich textures of the wooden furniture. A custom cane partition offers a glimpse into the dining area, creating an open yet intimate feel.20
Arches are a recurring motif we use to soften spaces and add a traditional touch. Here, an archway frames a view of the living room, where a classic wooden swing and a comfortable teal sofa create an inviting atmosphere for relaxation.
