About Ensemble & Vocal Performances
Playing an instrument solo is one thing, but locking in with a band is a different experience. In these ensemble sessions, we pair vocalists with guitarists or drummers to teach you how to listen to your bandmates, manage your timing, and perform with confidence. This is a crucial skill for any musician wanting to move from the practice room to the stage.
Whether you are looking to master Western pop vocals or want to accompany your singing with guitar chords, learning to play in an ensemble setting changes your perspective. At Trishan School of Music, we move beyond individual lessons. Our curriculum focuses on the synergy between instruments and voice, ensuring you understand how to hold your rhythm within a group.
We host monthly open-mic nights at our HSR Layout, BEML Layout, and Sarjapur Road centers. These events act as a performance laboratory where you can test your skills in front of an audience. It removes the pressure of formal recitals and replaces it with a fun, collaborative environment.
You will learn how to:
- Listen for cues from other band members
- Balance vocal volume with instrumental accompaniment
- Maintain tempo in a group setting
- Interpret arrangements for songs in Bollywood, Carnatic, and Western genres
Our instructors guide you through the process, helping you transition from learning scales to performing full songs. Whether you are prepping for an ABRSM exam or just want to jam with friends, these sessions provide the stage time you need to grow.
