At Mela Music School, we believe the final note of a practice session belongs on stage. Our students from Sahakar Nagar and beyond regularly perform at recitals, karaoke nights, and band showcases to turn their private practice into real-world confidence.

Here is one of my young students, Rakshit, introducing his song before a performance. I provide numerous live performance opportunities to help students build stage presence and confidence.

This video shows the complete journey I offer, from one on one lessons on voice and instruments to the final, confident stage performance. I guide students from zero to stage ready.

About this collection

Learning to sing or play an instrument in a private studio is only half the journey. Our performance program is designed to bridge the gap between your practice room and the stage, giving students in Sahakar Nagar and across Bangalore the platform they need to test their skills. Whether it is a solo recital or a band set, we ensure you have the stage time to see your progress in action.

Why We Focus on Performance

Music is a language, and like any language, it is meant to be spoken—or in this case, performed. We notice that students who regularly prepare for a specific event, whether it is a small Karaoke Night or an annual recital, show faster improvement than those who only practice in isolation. It forces a different kind of preparation; you stop playing until you get it right and start playing until you cannot get it wrong.

Types of Events We Host

  • Student Recitals: These are formal settings where students perform their pieces. It is a fantastic way to handle nerves and gain feedback in a supportive environment.
  • Karaoke Nights: A more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where students can pick songs they love, sing along to backing tracks, and simply have fun with music.
  • Live Band Showcases: For our instrumentalists and rock enthusiasts, these events simulate a real-world gig experience, complete with microphones and live sound setups.
  • Indian Classical Recitals: Dedicated evenings focusing on the nuances of Hindustani and Carnatic streams in a traditional setting.

What You Will Gain

  • Stage Presence: You will learn how to own the space, handle the microphone, and interact with an audience.
  • Confidence: Fear of public speaking or performing is common. We help you replace that fear with the excitement of sharing your art.
  • Community: These events are not just for the performer. They connect families, parents, and friends, creating a strong Mela Music community where everyone supports each other’s growth.
