About Our Group Classes in Action
In my group batches, like our 'Pancham' or 'Shadja' groups, you won't just learn lyrics; you will learn to listen to others. Singing with a group helps you shed that shyness much faster than practicing alone. We focus on 'Bhaav'—the emotion behind the song—which ensures your performance connects with the audience, regardless of whether your voice is technically perfect.
Why Group Singing Works
Many of my students come to me thinking they need a perfect voice to join a class. That is a myth. When you sing in a group, the collective energy takes the pressure off the individual. In these batches, we focus on listening, rhythm, and harmonizing with the group. It is the fastest way to get over stage fear.
What Happens in a Session?
Each session is designed to make you feel comfortable and joyful:
- Warm-ups: We start with Omkar and breathing exercises to relax the throat.
- Group Harmony: We practice choruses to build unity and pitch correction.
- Solo Moments: You get rotational slots to sing a Mukhda or Antara solo. This is where you really build your confidence.
- Feedback: I give real-time, gentle corrections on your expression and timing.
Practical Logistics
We run these batches in Mumbai and Pune. Whether you are a beginner or someone with some experience, we group you into batches like 'Shadja' or 'Pancham' based on your level. We use a mix of Bollywood hits, light music, and classic melodies to keep things interesting. You don't need years of training—just the willingness to show up and enjoy the music.
