Traditional Kerala Sadhya & Festive Feasts
Bring the warmth of a Kerala festival to your home. My Sadhya kits are prepared with the same slow-cooking traditions I learned from Amma, delivered ready for your table.
This is what a true feast looks like. A photo from our Onam Sadhya event where we served over 200 people a full traditional meal on a banana leaf. It was a wonderful community gathering filled with great food and company.
My Vishu Feast takeaway menu, which includes over 15 traditional items like Avial, Thoran, and Palada Pradhaman. It serves four people and comes with a banana leaf for the most authentic experience.
Getting ready for the Vishu festival. This teaser shows some of the key elements of a Sadhya feast, like fresh bananas and crispy pappadams. Stay tuned for my special Vishu menu drop.
My Amma always said the mustard for the pachadi should be ground by hand, not in a mixie. Here I am, using a traditional mortar and pestle to prepare spices for an Onam Sadhya, keeping the old ways alive.
About Festive Feasts & Sadhya Kits
Authentic Sadhya is all about the little details, like hand-grinding mustard seeds for the pachadi instead of using a mixie. When you order one of my feast kits, you are getting that same slow-made process delivered straight to your table. Everything comes packed for a proper sit-down meal, banana leaves included, so you can spend your time hosting rather than cooking.
A True Feast, Zero Stress
When I put together a Sadhya kit, I am not just packing containers of food. I am packing a memory. Whether it is for Onam, Vishu, or just a large family gathering, my goal is to give you the exact experience you would have in a traditional Kerala home, without the two days of prep work in the kitchen.
What is in the Kit?
Each feast kit is built for four people and includes over 20 traditional items. You get the staples like Parippu, Sambar, Avial, Erisherry, Olan, and Pineapple Pachadi. I source my chillies and coriander directly from Wayanad and grind them by hand, which is why the flavor profile is so distinct from anything you would get in a generic restaurant. We also include the essential Kerala Matta or white rice, along with Pappadam, banana chips, and Sharkaravaratti.
Making it Your Own
While the core Sadhya is vegetarian, I know that for many families, a feast is not complete without meat. You have the option to add on signature dishes like my slow-roasted Beef Ullarthu or Alleppey Fish Curry to complete the meal. Everything is delivered in spill-proof packaging, and yes, we provide fresh banana leaves so you can lay it out properly.
Because I prioritize freshness, like soaking and fermenting my own batters and grinding spices from scratch, these kits require pre-ordering. Please reach out 48 hours in advance so I can ensure everything is prepared specifically for your order.
