About Indian Classical Dance

We live and breathe dance. For me, Indian Classical Dance is a mix of tradition, devotion, and pure joy. Seeing bachhe (kids) and adults pour their energy into our studio is honestly the highlight of my day.

What I Teach

I teach Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and Semi-Classical fusion dance. All three have their own vibe - from storytelling in Kathak to the detailed Bharatnatyam Adavus basics, and then mixing things up with some contemporary music in Semi-Classical.

My Approach

• Kathak’s all about rhythm. I make sure you get the Tatkar (footwork) and Chakkars (spins) right from the start.
• We jam with live tabla accompaniment, so you really feel the beat and understand how movement connects with music.
• Bharatnatyam training focuses on strong technique and the reasons behind each move, with references to the Natyashastra.
• Semi-Classical is for anyone who loves classical but wants to groove to today’s hits - it’s expressive and fun.

This tradition means everything to me. I’m just a shishya (disciple) trying to pass on what my Gurus gave me. Watching students perform with confidence is what keeps me going.
