About From Studio to Stage: Our Student Showcases
Getting on stage is a skill we teach alongside technique. Whether it is a solo performance at a local craft mela or a major production like Aarohan 2025, we manage everything from stage presence training to costume coordination, ensuring students feel supported from their first rehearsal to their final bow.
At Thirkan, we treat the stage as an extension of the studio. Performance isn't just about the final show; it's a curriculum component that builds discipline, poise, and rhythmic precision.
Our Performance Philosophy
We don't just teach steps; we teach students how to hold a stage. Our dancers regularly perform at prestigious events like our annual 'Aarohan' showcase, directed by Guru Shinjini Kulkarni, as well as community gatherings like Dandiya Nights, Republic Day celebrations, and cultural festivals at venues across Noida and Dubai.
What Performance Training Includes:
- Expression & Abhinaya: We focus on facial expressions and storytelling so that the audience understands the emotion behind the movement, not just the technical footwork.
- Collaboration: Students learn to perform with live accompaniment, such as live tabla players, which helps them develop a keen ear for music and rhythm.
- Confidence Building: We encourage students of all ages—from our youngest kids in traditional Kathak costumes to our senior troupe performing intricate Bharatnatyam—to take ownership of their performance space.
- Production Readiness: We guide students through the realities of public performance, including the importance of neat costume management, stage lighting, and professional coordination.
Whether you are a beginner looking to take your first steps or a seasoned dancer wanting to refine your stagecraft, our performance batches provide a platform to share your art with the world.
