Skipping is a staple in our warmups for a reason. It's a fantastic full body exercise to get your heart rate up and improve your coordination and footwork.
Mobility is key. We always start with dynamic movements and activation drills like these to prep your muscles and joints for the workout ahead.

About Strength & Conditioning
Don't expect a polished studio. We train in an industrial garage setup on Magrath Road with no AC, loud music, and a lot of sweat. Our sessions are built around functional movements—think sled pushes, barbell squats, and air bike sprints—designed to improve your explosive power and stamina, whether you are prepping for the ring or just getting fit.
Why We Train This Way
We believe in building an engine that lasts. Our Strength & Conditioning (S&C) classes aren't about looking a certain way; they are about functional capability. We use a mix of traditional barbell work, explosive plyometrics, and high-intensity cardio to ensure you can perform under pressure. If you are training in our Kickboxing or Muay Thai sessions, these classes are the perfect complement to help you move faster and hit harder.
What To Expect
Our sessions are strictly group-based and high energy. We follow a progressive structure: a dynamic warm-up to prep your joints, a focused technical block for strength, and a high-intensity finisher to empty the tank. We keep the equipment simple but effective—kettlebells, battle ropes, and boxes.
We welcome all levels. Whether you have never picked up a weight or you are looking to refine your form, our coaches are right there on the mats with you, correcting technique in real-time. Since we run a communal setup, you will be training alongside our regulars, which means you get that extra push from the crew when you start to flag.
Key Details
- No AC, Just Vibes: We are a garage gym. It gets hot, it gets loud, and that is how we like it.
- Equipment: We use communal USI heavy bags, focus mitts, kettlebells, and Olympic bars. Bring your own water bottle to use our refill station.
- Recovery: We emphasize the importance of mobility and stretching at the end of every session to keep you moving well.
We are more than just a gym, so expect to make friends, learn new moves, and maybe grab pizza with the crew after a particularly brutal Sunday session. If you are in Ashok Nagar or nearby in Bangalore, come through and see what we are about.
The Works
We are Raghuram and Meg, and we didn't want another silent, serious gym, so we started The Works. It is a garage crew in Ashok Nagar where we sweat, lift, and train hard together. No egos, just people who want to get strong and have fun while doing it.
