Outdoor Yoga Sessions for Kids in Nature
Nature is the best classroom. We take our practice to the park, using fresh air and open spaces to help children develop focus, strength, and emotional balance through movement.
Yoga for children should be full of life. Here, we turn our mats into a racetrack for a fun fitness game in the park. This is how we build energy, teamwork, and happy memories.
We greet the morning sun with energy and movement. Practicing yoga outdoors connects children with nature. Here, my students are flowing through a sequence, learning to sync their breath with their bodies.
From playful running to quiet breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana Pranayama, our outdoor sessions have it all. Being in prakriti, or nature, helps calm the mind and invigorate the body.
A special performance by my kids' yoga batch for International Yoga Day. We combined yoga asanas with dance to celebrate our practice and showcase the grace and coordination they have developed.
About Yoga in Nature: Outdoor Sessions
These outdoor sessions are designed to break the monotony of indoor learning. When kids practice yoga in the park, they are not just stretching; they are learning to ground themselves, manage their energy levels, and connect with their surroundings. We keep sessions active and playful to ensure they look forward to showing up, whether it is through animal-inspired poses or team-based breathing games.
Traditional studios have their place, but prakriti (nature) has a unique way of helping children open up that four walls simply cannot replicate. In these sessions, we move beyond the mat.
We head to the park to transform yoga into an adventure. Instead of just holding asanas, we integrate games that teach teamwork and confidence. We incorporate breathwork like Nadi Shodhana to help children manage exam stress and screen time burnout. It is not just physical exercise; it is about building a foundation for emotional resilience.
Whether it is partner poses to build trust or mindful walking to sharpen focus, these sessions are designed to make yoga feel like play, not a chore. Located in Rohini, my students find that the fresh air makes poses easier and breathing deeper. We ensure the environment is safe, but we also encourage them to explore, helping them connect with their own Shakti in a way that stays with them long after the class ends.
