Yoga Journeys: Himalayan Treks and Wellness Workshops
Whether it is finding balance at 13,000 feet or de-stressing at your desk, this collection offers a glimpse into my approach: blending ancient tradition with the rhythms of nature.
At 13,000 feet on the Surya Top summit, the world feels vast and I feel connected to its strength. This is Ashwa Sanchalanasana, or equestrian pose, a moment of grounding and gratitude with the majestic Gangotri range before me. My Himalayan yoga treks are about finding these moments of power and peace.
Leading a warrior sequence with my students in the heart of the Himalayas. Practicing together in nature amplifies the energy and creates a shared experience of strength and focus. This is what my yoga and trekking retreats are all about, moving and breathing as one with the mountains as our witness.
Embracing the playful energy of the ocean with a variation of Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, or mermaid pose. Practicing on the sand challenges my balance and reminds me to flow with life's currents. My beach yoga sessions are designed to help you find joy and release, connecting with the rhythm of the waves.
A look inside one of my corporate yoga workshops, designed to help teams de-stress and reconnect. We moved through gentle stretches, practiced balancing poses like Vrikshasana (tree pose), focused on breathwork with pranayama, and ended with a guided Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation. It's a powerful way to bring wellness into the workplace.
This is a look at some of my favorite arm balances, including Crow Pose and Vishwamitrasana. In my workshops, I guide students through the foundations of these challenging poses, focusing on building core strength, improving balance, and enhancing mental concentration, one step at a time.
Holding Natarajasana, the lord of the dance pose, as the sun sets over the mountains during a trek. This pose is a beautiful expression of balance and grace, and practicing it in nature's embrace brings a profound sense of peace and connection to the end of the day.
Sharing a moment of Virabhadrasana II, or Warrior II, with a wonderful group of women by a serene mountain lake. Group practice in nature fosters a powerful sense of community and shared strength. We support each other in finding our stability and focus.
About this collection
I believe yoga should not be confined to a studio. This selection shows my favorite spaces to practice—where the fresh air of the Himalayas or the rhythm of the ocean becomes part of the asana. Whether you join me for a high-altitude trek or a corporate workshop, we focus on real alignment and sustainable practice, using props like wheels and blocks to make every pose accessible regardless of your current flexibility.
My Yoga Philosophy
For me, yoga is a silent conversation between breath and soul. It is never just about touching your toes, it is about what you discover on your way down. I have built my practice around the idea that we can find peace in our own skin, whether we are navigating a challenging arm balance or simply practicing deep breathing to reset after a long day.
Where We Practice
- Himalayan Retreats: I combine my love for the mountains with yoga. During these expeditions, we reach altitudes of 13,000 feet, practicing high-altitude pranayama and asana. These sessions are about acclimatization, mindfulness, and experiencing the strength of nature.
- Beach & Outdoor Sessions: Drawing energy from the five elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—I hold outdoor classes that prioritize grounding and hip-opening sequences to help you release tension.
- Corporate & Desk Yoga: I take the mat into the office to help teams combat the physical stress of sedentary work. We focus on RSI prevention, posture correction, and guided relaxation techniques like Yoga Nidra to improve mental clarity.
The Role of Props
I am a firm believer that props make yoga accessible to everyone. In my workshops, I encourage the use of blocks, straps, and wheels. They are not 'cheats' but tools to help you safely find your alignment and stability. If you have been hesitant about starting because you feel 'stiff,' these tools are exactly how we bridge that gap together.
Nidhi Bansal
I see yoga as a conversation between breath and soul, a practice that thrives as much on a mountain summit as it does in a boardroom. My classes are designed to be accessible, using props to guide you safely while we break down complex movements into simple, rhythmic steps.
