Acro Yoga Classes & Partner Flows in Bengaluru
Yoga isn't just a solo journey. In these sessions, we focus on connection, laughter, and trust as we explore partner flows together.
This is a great example of the connection in Acro Yoga. I am the base, providing a stable foundation, while my partner moves into Dhanurasana, or Bow Pose. We focus on clear communication to make the transition smooth and safe.
I believe yoga should be fun, and sometimes it doesn't go as planned. This video shows our reality versus the expectation. We wobble, we laugh, and we try again. It's the effort that matters, not perfection.
Acro Yoga is also about community. Here we are attempting a challenging three-person group formation. This kind of practice builds incredible trust and shows how we can support each other to create something beautiful.
If you are new to partner practice, this is where we start. This beginner friendly synchronized flow helps you get comfortable moving with another person. We connect our breath and movements in a simple, accessible sequence.
Here is a more advanced Acro Yoga pose that demonstrates a high level of strength, balance, and trust. The flyer is in a handstand supported by my hands, while I am in Ustrasana, or Camel Pose. This is what we can build up to together.
This is what I call an energy flow. Practicing side by side, we move through a dynamic sequence that includes arm balances and inversions. You can feel the shared energy when you practice in sync with a partner.
Practicing Natarajasana, the Dancer's Pose, in front of the Adiyogi statue was a powerful experience. This pose honors Shiva, the first yogi. Partnering in this pose creates a beautiful symmetry and shared balance.
About this collection
You don't need to bring a partner to join these sessions. In my workshops, we rotate roles—Base, Flyer, and Spotter—so you learn to communicate and build trust with everyone in the room, regardless of your skill level.
Acro Yoga is where the mat meets the human connection. It's not just about doing difficult poses; it's about learning to let go, finding balance with someone else, and trusting the person you're working with. When we practice together, we break down the three fundamental roles: the Base, who provides the foundation; the Flyer, who explores the balance; and the Spotter, who ensures safety.
We focus on 'bone-stacking' techniques rather than muscle fatigue, which means you don't need to be a bodybuilder to get started. My goal is to make these sessions accessible and, more importantly, fun. We will wobble, we will fall, and we will laugh about it—that is the nature of the practice.
Whether we are in a studio or outdoors in a spot like Cubbon Park, the focus remains on the journey. I teach beginner-friendly flows that get you comfortable with moving in sync, as well as more advanced partner inversions for those ready to challenge their strength. You do not need to be an expert to show up; you just need to be willing to try. Come ready to move, listen to your body, and connect with a community that supports your growth.
