Yoga Practice at Adiyogi and Natural Landscapes
My practice is not limited to a mat in a studio. I find deep connection and stillness by taking my yoga to sacred spaces like Adiyogi and the open landscapes around Bengaluru.
Feeling the immense energy of Adiyogi during Mahashivratri. To practice here is to connect with the source of yoga. It is a reminder of the transformative power of this path. Har Har Mahadev.
Practicing Natarajasana, the Dancer's Pose, in front of the Adiyogi statue was a powerful experience. This pose honors Shiva, the first yogi. Partnering in this pose creates a beautiful symmetry and shared balance.
Finding a moment of peace and practice with a yoga friend on this incredible rock formation. Being in nature adds a different dimension to the practice, grounding us in the present moment.
A collage showing practice in different settings. From a handstand in front of a historic monument to advanced asanas in the studio, every location offers a unique energy to the practice.
About this collection
Practicing outdoors, especially at a place like Adiyogi, changes how you hold a pose. The environment forces you to focus on grounding and balance, moving beyond physical effort into something more meditative. It is not about the aesthetic of the location, but how the space helps you find inner quiet.
Why I Take Yoga Outdoors
When we step out of the studio, the practice shifts. Nature offers a different kind of resistance and support. Practicing near Adiyogi or on a rocky hill isn't about capturing a photo for social media; it is about feeling the scale of the world and understanding where we fit into it. The terrain in places like the outskirts of Bengaluru teaches you micro-adjustments in your balance that a flat studio floor cannot.
Finding Stillness in Motion
My sessions in these environments are designed to bridge that gap between the physical struggle of an asana and the mental detachment we seek. Whether we are working on Natarajasana (Dancer's Pose) with the statue in the background or finding alignment on uneven ground, the goal remains the same: steady breath and a calm mind.
How We Can Practice Together
- Grounding Sessions: We focus on slow, deliberate movements that help you connect with your surroundings.
- Partner Work: I encourage practicing with others to build trust and shared focus, especially in outdoor settings where you need a spotter for safety.
- Technical Refinement: Even in these scenic locations, we keep the focus on safe alignment. I will guide you through the same corrections I use in private studio sessions to ensure you are progressing safely.
If you are looking to deepen your practice beyond the walls of a gym, let us connect. We can discuss your goals, whether you are a beginner looking for a foundation or someone ready to take your inversions into a new space.
Praveen
I believe yoga is inner work, not just shapes. Whether we are in the studio or out near nature, my goal is to help you find that same sense of detachment and balance. I keep things simple, real, and focused on the journey, not perfection.
