Partner & Acroyoga Classes: Build Strength and Trust
Yoga is about balance, but doing it with someone else takes it to a new level. Join my sessions to build core stability, improve flexibility, and connect through movement.
This is a foundational acroyoga pose that we build towards. Here, the base provides a solid platform with their legs, while the flyer learns to engage their core and trust their partner for balance. It is a powerful way to build strength and connection.
Your safety and proper form are my top priorities. In this photo, I am guiding two students through a partner backbend, ensuring the base provides correct support and the flyer achieves a safe, deep stretch. I provide this hands-on assistance in all my sessions.
We often work in small groups to create more complex and dynamic shapes. This three-person pose requires communication and teamwork from everyone, showing how acroyoga builds stability and trust not just between two people, but within a group.
Partner yoga is not just about difficult poses, it is also about connection and having fun. This group exercise focuses on teamwork and shared balance, creating a supportive and playful environment in my Rohini studio. It is a great way to start or end a class.
As you progress, you will learn more dynamic poses that combine flexibility, strength, and balance. This pose requires the base to be grounded and strong, while the flyer uses core control to hold a split. It shows the athletic potential of acroyoga.
About Featured
You do not need to bring a partner to join my sessions. I match students based on skill and comfort level, so whether you come solo or with a friend, you will always have someone to base, fly, or spot you safely.
My Approach to Partner & Acroyoga
For me, yoga is a journey to find yourself, but Acroyoga is how we find connection with others. Yog se bhage rog hai (diseases run away from yoga), and practicing with someone adds a layer of energy and trust that you cannot get working alone.
What happens in a session
My classes at Amba Tower, Rohini, follow a clear structure to ensure everyone stays safe and progresses properly:
- Warm-up: We always begin with partner-assisted stretching to open the body and get comfortable with each other's movement.
- Role Rotation: I break down the three essential roles—Base (the foundation), Flyer (the one in the air), and Spotter (the safety net). Everyone rotates, so you learn to both support and be supported.
- Skill Building: We focus on fundamental flows like Bird pose or Throne pose. We often work in small groups, which builds a strong sense of community and teamwork.
Why join my batches
I keep my batch sizes small, usually between 8 to 12 students. This is a deliberate choice so I can provide active spotting and hands-on adjustments for every single person. You don't need to be incredibly flexible or fit to start; you just need an open mind. Whether you are a beginner or looking to master complex transitions, you will find a supportive environment here. We use props like yoga wheels and straps to help you deepen your stretches and build the necessary strength.
Come as you are. We will work on your stability, core strength, and communication skills one pose at a time.
