Acro Yoga Group Poses and Community Practice
Yoga is deeper when shared. Join me for group flows where we focus on connection, trust, and having a good laugh while we learn.
I believe yoga should be fun, and sometimes it doesn't go as planned. This video shows our reality versus the expectation. We wobble, we laugh, and we try again. It's the effort that matters, not perfection.
Acro Yoga is also about community. Here we are attempting a challenging three-person group formation. This kind of practice builds incredible trust and shows how we can support each other to create something beautiful.
About this collection
You do not need a partner or prior acro experience to join these sessions. My classes are structured to rotate partners, so you will naturally learn to communicate and trust new people while practicing foundational roles like the Base, Flyer, and Spotter.
Acro Yoga is as much about the community as it is about the physical challenge. When we practice together, the goal is not to nail a perfect pose on the first try. It is about learning to communicate, building trust, and understanding how to support someone else's weight safely. In my Bengaluru sessions, we rotate roles frequently. You will get comfortable acting as the Base, supporting from the ground; the Flyer, finding balance in the air; and the Spotter, ensuring everyone stays safe. This rotation is why these workshops work well for individuals, as you can come alone and leave with a group of friends. Whether we are in a studio or outdoors at a location like Cubbon Park, the focus remains on the process. We use techniques like bone-stacking to manage weight efficiently, which makes the poses feel easier than they look. If you fall, we laugh, reset, and try again. That is the philosophy here. It is a space to detach from the pressure of perfection and just enjoy the movement. We cover everything from simple static poses like the Front Bird or Throne to more dynamic flows as the group progresses. If you are nervous about getting started, know that I emphasize safety and professional spotting in every session.
Praveen
I have spent nine years on the mat, and I still find the most joy when we are wobbling and laughing through a new pose together. Yoga changed my life, and sharing this practice, especially the playful group side of Acro, is how I continue to grow. Come join us to see that real progress happens when we stop trying to be perfect and just start connecting.
