My Journey from IT to Inner Technology
I used to be exactly where you are—stuck in the corporate grind, skipping wellness invites for tea breaks. Here is why I switched to yoga and how these simple tools can help you manage your own workplace stress.
My old Wipro ID card. This reminds me of where I came from and why I do what I do. I used to be the one skipping wellness sessions for a tea break, so I get the skepticism. My journey has been a shift from Information Technology to Inner Technology.
Sometimes my practice looks like this. No perfect background, no fancy clothes, just finding a quiet corner. This is the reality of yoga for me, a tool that follows you wherever you are, and it's this simple, accessible approach I bring to my sessions.
About My Story: From IT to Inner Technology
I know exactly how it feels to roll your eyes at a wellness invite when your inbox is full and your coffee is cold. Back when I worked at Wipro, I was the one looking for excuses to skip these sessions. My classes aren't about being flexible or wearing special gear; they are just practical tools to keep you functioning better—neck relief, eye strain management, and a bit of mental clarity—using whatever space you have, even if it is just your office chair.
People often ask if I am qualified to teach. Honestly, my biggest qualification is that I have lived the exact same 9-to-5 grind. I know the deadlines, the skepticism, and the very real physical toll of sitting in a cubicle for hours. When I moved from Information Technology to Inner Technology, I did not become a different person; I just started using different tools.
Why this works for the office
Most of the yoga you see online is not practical for a workspace. You do not need a mat, you do not need to change into yoga pants, and you definitely do not need to be able to touch your toes on day one. I focus on classical Hatha Yoga practices that you can do in formal wear, right in your conference room or break area.
What we actually do:
- RSI Prevention: Simple directional movements for wrists and elbows to manage typing strain.
- Postural Correction: Neck and shoulder drills to fix the desk slouch.
- Digital Wellness: Techniques to give your eyes a break from the screen.
- Stress Management: Nadi Shuddhi breathwork to help you stay balanced during high-pressure days.
Whether you are looking for a one-off session for your team or a structured monthly program to build some consistency, I keep it simple. I am not here to lecture you on lifestyle changes you cannot maintain. I am here to offer you the same practices that helped me stop needing those extra tea breaks just to survive the day.
