Bringing folk tales to life on big stages with my puppet friends. Whether it is a literature festival or a community carnival, I create interactive, joyful storytelling moments that captivate audiences of all ages.

A snippet from my performance at the prestigious Bangalore Literature Festival. It was an honor to share the stage with incredible authors and bring a classic story to life for a huge crowd of book lovers.

Performing at the Ziro on Tour Festival was a dream. Sharing stories with children from various schools under the open sky created a truly special atmosphere.

The amphitheater was packed for my show at the Festival of Play in Hyderabad. I love it when the audience gets involved, and this crowd was fantastic, interacting with the puppets and becoming part of the story.

About On the Big Stage: Festivals & Events

When I perform at festivals, I do not just stand on a stage. I bring a portable, professional puppet booth and PA system that fits into amphitheaters or open lawns. The show is designed for crowds, using high-energy character voices and audience interaction to ensure even the folks in the back row feel like they are part of the story.

When you look at a festival crowd, you see a mix of restless toddlers, engaged parents, and curious teens. My challenge is to hold that attention. I do this by blending traditional folktales with improvisational puppetry.

I do not just recite stories. My puppets, like Paprika the chicken, interact directly with the audience. We argue, we sing, and sometimes, we get the audience to join the act. Whether I am performing at the Bangalore Literature Festival or an open-air school ground, the goal remains the same: create a shared moment of wonder.

For organizers, I keep the logistics simple. I travel with my own portable puppet booth and sound equipment, ensuring I can set up in libraries, auditoriums, or open-air festival venues with minimal fuss. These performances are scalable, handling groups of 50 to 500+ attendees. If you have a specific theme, be it a seasonal celebration or a cultural event, I can adapt my repertoire to include stories that fit the vibe, keeping the engagement authentic and rooted in our oral traditions.

Talking Turtles Storytellers

Travels to venues across IndiaStarts from 500 Per Child + Adult Pair

I am Shreedevi, and my puppet friends, like Paprika the chicken, are my constant travel companions to festivals across India. We believe a great story should be heard by everyone in the crowd, whether you are three or eighty-three, so we keep our performances lively, loud, and full of laughter.
