I bring my puppets into healthcare spaces and community centers to turn moments of anxiety into shared laughter, offering a gentle, interactive distraction for patients and staff.

A moment of connection in the pediatric oncology ward. The idea is simple: to make the hospital experience less traumatic. Here, a silly rhyme about food turned into a fun chat, bringing a smile to our little friend's face.

Laughter echoing through the OPD at Rainbow Children’s Hospital. I shared folktales while children and parents waited for their appointments, turning a moment of anxiety into one of magic and wonder.

Sharing a smile with a nurse at The Child Trust Hospital in Chennai. My puppets don't just connect with the children; they bring a moment of light and laughter to the hardworking healthcare staff too.

A feature in Sunday Midday about my work in medical puppetry. The goal is to use puppets to explain health topics in a gentle way or simply to bring joy to a stressful environment. Every drop in the ocean counts.

With a young participant at a puppetry workshop for marginalized children, organized with the Prabha Khaitan Foundation. These workshops help build confidence and self-expression through art.

About Healing Through Stories: Hospitals & NGOs

My puppets don't just perform for children; they engage with nurses, doctors, and caregivers to lighten the atmosphere. I often start by simply observing the room's energy—if a child is nervous about an appointment, my puppet might start a quiet, silly conversation about their favorite snacks or a funny story. It is about being responsive, not loud, ensuring the interaction is soothing and never intrusive.
