About Not Just for Kids: Stories & Workshops for Adults
I select my adult sessions differently than my children's work. Instead of puppets, these evenings focus on the rhythm of voice and shared human experience, tackling themes like irony, romance, and human emotion to create a space that feels honest, grounded, and entirely distinct from a nursery tale.
There is a common misconception that storytelling is only for children. In my adult workshops and performance evenings, I aim to undo this idea. I use the power of the oral tradition to explore the nuances of human experience—from the bizarre to the deeply relatable.
Why Storytelling for Adults?
My sessions for adults, often titled 'Sol' (referencing the Tamizh word for 'to tell'), are designed to be a pause button. Whether in a creative space like Lahe Lahe in Bengaluru or a corporate boardroom, these sessions are about creating an atmosphere where listeners can disconnect from the noise of daily life. We dive into folktales, personal narratives, and humorous accounts that resonate with adult sensibilities, exploring romance, comedy, and the complexities of human relationships.

Beyond performances, I work with colleges and corporate teams to apply these same principles to practical life. Storytelling is a foundation for strong public speaking, team bonding, and effective communication. In my workshops, I help participants:

How We Work Together
I tailor the content to the group. A college workshop on public speaking at Kumaraguru College requires a different energy than an evening performance in an intimate setting.
