Pottery for Mindfulness and Healing
Shreya, our trauma-informed specialist, leads these sessions. We use clay as a gentle medium to help you release stress, connect with your body, and find quiet in the heart of Bengaluru.
**(Repeated from Featured)** We believe pottery is a way to quiet the noise in your head. This video shows the transformation from a scattered mind to a focused, calm state that happens when you're working with clay. It's a meditative process that we love sharing with others.
**(Repeated from Featured)** Pottery can be a deeply therapeutic journey. As a trauma-informed specialist, Shreya guides sessions that focus on being present and finding peace, not perfection. Here she is finding her own moment of calm at the wheel.
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. This graphic outlines some of the specific measures we take to ensure our studio is a safe space for everyone, especially since pottery is such a hands-on craft.
We are formally trained in trauma counselling and take safety very seriously. We are always open to feedback on how we can make our space feel even safer for you.
An overview of our 'Blooming in Mud' session, which combines pottery with principles of mental wellness. It's about body awareness, living in the moment, and choosing peace over perfection.
Our 'Emotional Excavation' sessions are designed to help you release overwhelming emotions in a safe space. We use the Japanese hand-building technique of Kurinuki to create a gorgeous piece while processing feelings.
We hosted a special meetup on Mother's Day for those who find the day difficult. It was a wholesome session of pottery, conversation, and community, creating a sanctuary to grieve in a safe environment.

We offer a safe and compassionate space to explore your experiences through the touch of clay. You can choose guided meditation or simply talk with Shreya while you create.
What is Art Therapy? The word 'therapy' comes from a Greek word meaning 'healing'. We use creative expression to help you better understand and feel your emotions.
About Pottery for Mindfulness & Healing
These sessions are not about making perfect pots. Whether you join our Blooming in Mud workshop or an Emotional Excavation session, the focus is entirely on your comfort and nervous system regulation. Shreya is present throughout to guide you, ensuring the studio remains a judgment-free sanctuary where you can truly let go.
Many of us carry stress in our bodies that we do not always know how to release. Traditional talk therapy is helpful, but sometimes, physical movement is what we need to get unstuck. We designed these sessions as a somatic, tactile way to process emotions. Pottery works differently than a standard art class. It encourages you to slow down, feel the wet clay between your fingers, and focus on the immediate sensory experience rather than the end result.
Our Blooming in Mud curriculum combines wheel throwing and hand-building with mindfulness practices. You do not need any prior pottery skills to start. We create a container where it is safe to make mistakes, get messy, and step away from the noise of city life. For those dealing with specific overwhelming emotions, our Emotional Excavation sessions use the Japanese Kurinuki technique, which involves carving into solid clay. It is a powerful, physical act of releasing what you no longer need.
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. As a trauma-informed practitioner, Shreya ensures that every part of the session, from the studio layout to the guided meditation, is designed for emotional regulation. We also prioritize privacy and bodily autonomy. Whether you want to talk through your experiences or prefer to sit in silence and create, this is a place where you are seen and supported. You leave with a piece you crafted, but more importantly, we hope you leave with a lighter heart.
