About Pottery Classes & Workshops
Why Pottery With Us Feels Different
At Studio Mudlife, pottery isn't just about clay - it's our way to slow down and breathe easy. We built this green, plant-filled space to be an oasis away from city chaos. You’ll spot dogs snoozing in corners, and no one cares if you show up in chappals (slippers). We want you to feel at home, whether you're a first-timer or have clay under your nails already.
Classes & Workshops
- For folks just starting out, our short beginner pottery lessons are a fun way to get your hands dirty and learn both wheel throwing and hand-building clay techniques. Choose a single day or a weekend - both pack plenty of mess and laughter.
- Got more time? Our month-long wheel throwing workshop goes from “What’s a kiln?” to you taking home four glazed pieces you made yourself. We cover basics, refinements, and some decorating for good measure.
- If you’re here for calm, our mindful pottery session is all about feeling present and letting go of stress. These aren’t about perfect pots - they’re about finding peace.
Celebrate With Clay
We host private pottery celebration events for birthdays, anniversaries, or just a day out with your favourite people. It’s messy, fun, and always memorable.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll try wheel throwing, hand-building, trimming, and decorating. No stress about being perfect - we’re all figuring it out together.

My Story
Hey! We’re Shreya and Mahanth, the duo behind Studio Mudlife. Mahanth’s been at the wheel for years, I jumped in because he’s a potter (and because I got hooked on the studio life). Sure, working together gets messy sometimes, but we’ve figured out our groove. We really care about making Mudlife a safe, chill spot for everyone – my counselling background helps with that. Making pottery and seeing folks unwind here, that’s what keeps us going.
My Work
Handmade Ceramics & Pottery Classes - We make functional handmade ceramics like mugs, bowls, and plates, and teach pottery classes for beginners and pros.
Every Piece is Unique - No two pieces look the same - kiln gods and our glaze experiments make sure of it.
Glaze Nerds at Heart - We mix our own glazes, love wild combos like Chun and Rutile. Opening the kiln is always a surprise.
Pet-Friendly, Safe Studio - Our space is inclusive and pet-friendly. We keep safety clear for everyone to relax and create.
Made With Love and Sweat - We work crazy hours for each batch, from throwing to firing. It’s hard work, but we’re obsessed.
