Goan Susegad: Designing Holiday Homes at Casa Aurea

In the dining area, we balanced a distressed eight-seater table with raw, unfinished chairs to recreate the feel of a coastal boho café. Sunlight spills through floor-to-ceiling windows, turning the entire room into a bridge between the indoor comfort and the wild fields outside.

Susegad is not just a word in Goa, it is a rhythm. With Casa Aurea, we wanted to capture that feeling of contentment in every corner of the house. Our team worked to blend colonial-era furniture with vibrant modern accents, ensuring the space feels rooted in history but light enough for a vacation home.

We focused on the interplay of light and shadow, using expansive glass to frame the surrounding pool and greenery. The library, reaching toward the ceiling, serves as a quiet anchor for the room, inviting you to slow down. This project gained recognition in Elle Decor, which highlighted our commitment to mixing nostalgia with playfulness.
