Our Studio & Philosophy
We believe architecture should be honest, functional, and driven by purpose. We don't chase trends; we create spaces that make sense.
How do we describe our design philosophy? In this video, I explain that good design is ultimately about intentions. It is the process of finding the simplest, most honest, and logical solution to a problem, where beauty emerges as a byproduct of that earnest search.
What are our inspirations? Inspiration is all around us: in the aspirations of the people we design for, in the perfect systems of nature, and in the fearless simplicity of babies. Ultimately, we are inspired by the earnestness of life itself.
How has our journey been so far? This video reflects on our studio's journey, the joy of conceiving ideas, and the gratification of seeing clients and users thrive in the spaces we create. It is this purpose that drives us every morning.
Our new space, Studio 2.0, is designed to foster collaboration, socialization, and focus. This area, with its long kitchen island and tiered wooden seating, serves as the social heart of our studio, a place for informal conversations and shared meals.

The central island in our studio serves as a flexible hub for work, meetings, and coffee breaks. The space is a testament to the power of design to shape not just buildings, but the bonds we form and the quality of the work we produce.
The Community Table in Studio 2.0, designed for informal meetings and vendor discussions. We added an iridescent light installation and our own colorful benches to create a space that is informal but still focused, encouraging creative and productive conversations.
About this collection
We don't just design offices or homes; we construct environments that encourage real collaboration. In our own studio, 'Studio 2.0,' we intentionally placed a large community table at the center, not for show, but to force us out of silos and into constant conversation. That same logic—prioritizing how people actually move, interact, and work—is what we apply to every client project, whether it is a workspace fit-out or a complete home renovation.
Architecture as a Tool for Living
At Studio Chintala, we see our work as more than just bricks and finishes. We view architecture as a process of finding the simplest, most honest solution to a problem. When we approach a project, we start by asking the hard questions: Why are we building this? How does it function? Does it respect the context of the site?
Why We Design the Way We Do
Our philosophy is rooted in logic, not fleeting aesthetics. You will find that our designs are minimalist because we believe true luxury is quiet, timeless sophistication. We avoid the urge to over-detail or clutter spaces. Instead, we focus on high-quality materials and smart planning—using BWP Marine Grade Plywood, Italian marble, or micro-concrete—to ensure the space remains robust and authentic for years.
A Process Born of Debate
Our studio in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, is a space for debate, chai, and shared meals. We bring this same energy to client projects. We don't present pre-packaged solutions. We brainstorm, argue the merits of different layouts, and iterate through 3D modeling until we find a solution that feels right. Whether it is a Vastu-compliant residence or a corporate office in a busy metro, our design process ensures that your space is tailored to your specific habits, not a generic template.

We design for all—tech campuses, rural schools, and private homes. While our aesthetic is defined by clean lines and functional layouts, our underlying commitment is always to the user.
