About My Musical Journey
My training in Hindustani classical music is the core of everything I do. It is not just about technique. It is the foundation that helps me navigate complex raags in film songs or find the right emotional pitch. Whether I am recording a track or preparing for a live set, that classical grounding keeps my voice steady and lets me experiment with different genres, from Ghazals to playback melodies.
Understanding the nuance of a note takes years of practice. I am forever grateful for the guidance of my Guruji, as his lessons reflect in every song I record. That classical discipline translates directly into my work as a playback singer. When I walk into a studio to record, I am not just hitting notes. I am trying to interpret the composer's vision, whether it is for a romantic film melody or a brand jingle.
My ability to switch between languages like Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam comes from this foundation. It allows me to adapt my vocal texture to the specific requirements of a project.
