About Featured
When I step into the recording booth, my focus isn't just on the melody but on the emotion behind the lyrics. Whether it is for a major feature film or an independent single, I take the time to understand the director’s vision and the scene's weight. This is why I always study the scratch track at least two days before our session, so I can live with the music before we hit record.
My work is rooted in my Hindustani classical training, which gives me the flexibility to handle everything from intense film melodies to soft, acoustic covers. When you work with me, you are getting more than just a vocalist; you are getting someone who treats every project with the same dedication I brought to songs like 'Kadalanu Kaano Horatiro' or 'Olave Olave.'
How I Approach a Project
- Preparation: I dive deep into the composition before I walk into the studio. By reviewing your scratch track in advance, I come ready to perform with the right tonal variations, saving us time during the actual recording session.
- Versatility: I record in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. My training allows me to pivot between genres—be it a romantic film ballad, a high-energy brand jingle, or an unplugged independent song.
- Collaboration: I view recording as a team effort. I have worked with talented composers like Charan Raj and Arjun Ramu, and I love the energy of studio jamming where we find the perfect take together.
