A glimpse behind the scenes recording the 'Mirchi Khushir Pujo' song. It was a beautiful experience to sing for this project, and as I mention in the video, the song has a wonderful feeling of 'Nari Shakti' and joyous victory.
I was truly honoured and filled with gratitude to receive the Femina Achiever's Award for Excellence in Music. In this moment, I am accepting the award, a recognition that gives me wings to fly higher with my music.

About Featured
When we record, I don't just sing the notes. I typically require 4 to 6 hours for a session, especially for semi-classical pieces, to really capture the Murkis and Harkats that give a song its soul. We work through comping the best takes together, ensuring that the technical precision of classical training never overshadows the raw emotion of your composition.
My Approach to Recording
Music is my light, and the studio is where I feel most alive. My work is deeply rooted in Indian classical music, specifically Thumri and Ghazal traditions. When I step into the booth for a film or an independent track, my goal is to bridge the gap between technical perfection and raw human emotion.
Genres and Expertise
My training covers a broad spectrum of classical and semi-classical forms. If your project requires authentic rendition of Raga nuances, complex improvisations, or specific classical diction, we can discuss these during a pre-recording consultation. I adapt my voice to suit the specific needs of the project—be it high-energy commercial jingles or the delicate, soulful texture required for a Ghazal.
Collaborative Process
I believe music is a journey best shared. Whether we are collaborating on a new composition or tracking playback vocals for a film, I focus on understanding the story of your song. I am based in Mumbai and Kolkata but travel across India to work with composers and directors. My packages for full song playback and commercial spots include vocal rights and corrections to ensure the final master meets your expectations.
