A Musical Journey: From Classical Roots to Modern Stages
A glimpse into the sound of my journey—from the classical kutcheris that ground me, to the electric energy of fusion stages and the magic of playback studios. Here is where my voice lives.
On stage is where I feel most alive. This was from a performance at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, where my band and I blended classical raagas with rock riffs for an unforgettable night. I love connecting with the crowd and sharing the energy of live music.
This is a clip of my playback singing debut with the song 'Manave' for the Kannada movie 'Barroz'. Working in the studio to bring a film's story to life through music is a dream come true, and I'm so grateful for this milestone in my journey.
A moment of immense gratitude, receiving the prestigious Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music from the legendary Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. My classical Carnatic training is the foundation of everything I do, and this recognition means the world to me.
A glimpse from my music video for 'Kanha Re', a Hindi rendition of the classic Kannada song 'Krishna Nee Begane Baro'. I love exploring how music transcends language, and this project was a beautiful opportunity to share a song close to my heart with a wider audience.
This picture takes me back. Winning Super Singer Junior 4 was a life-changing experience that started my journey in music. Holding that trophy with my family by my side is a core memory that still fuels my passion today.
The joy of performing for over 2000 people at IIT Madras's Saarang festival. This was my band's first professional show, and the energy was electric. Whether it's a classical concert or a fusion show, I pour my heart into every performance.
I am forever humbled by this moment from Super Singer, where the great S. P. Balasubrahmanyam sir shared such kind words about my performance. He said he was going to practice the song I sang, which is praise I will cherish for a lifetime.
About Featured
Whether I am performing a high-energy fusion set with my band or recording a track in a studio, my setup is built for versatility. I comfortably sing across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and I always prioritize that raw, emotional connection over just hitting the right notes.
My musical journey has been a constant balancing act between tradition and experimentation. Growing up in the world of Carnatic music, I learned that precision is key, but it was shows like Super Singer Junior that taught me how to adapt that classical foundation to a wider audience.
Today, my work spans two distinct worlds. On one side, I am deeply involved in traditional Carnatic vocal concerts, often performing solo or with an ensemble during the Margazhi season. These moments are quiet, devotional, and strictly rooted in classical technique. On the other side, I thrive in high-energy environments. Performing at college festivals like IIT Madras's Saarang or at venues like AFMC Pune, my band and I blend those same Carnatic raagas with rock and jazz elements to get the crowd moving.
For studio work, I treat playback singing as a collaborative puzzle. Whether it is a film track like my debut in 'Barroz' or a commercial jingle, I focus on native diction and clear delivery. I am comfortable with both remote recording setups and in-studio sessions in Bangalore, Chennai, or Mumbai. If you are looking for an artist who can switch from a soulful devotional piece to an upbeat fusion track, I’m here to help bring that vision to life.
