About Playback for Feature Films
When I work on a feature film track, I don't just record vocals; I spend time with the melody and the director's vision to get the emotion exactly right. If we're collaborating, I recommend providing the scratch track at least two days in advance, as that extra time helps me internalize the mood and diction before we step into the studio for the final recording session.
Every playback song is a fresh journey for me. Whether it's a romantic melody that needs a delicate touch or a high-energy track that demands power, my goal is to support the storytelling. My foundation in Hindustani classical music helps me adapt my voice across genres, ensuring that the vocals resonate with the audience.
My studio process is collaborative and detail-oriented. A typical session for feature film playback includes 4 to 6 hours of recording time, where we focus on capturing the perfect take for the Pallavi, Charanas, and ad-libs. I am comfortable recording in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam, and I work closely with composers to ensure the pronunciation and emotion hit the mark.
Beyond just the technical aspect, I believe in the magic of the studio environment. Working with teams like Paramvah or Sakkath Studio is always 'thumba khushi' (so much joy) because when the creative energy is right, the song just flows. If you are a music director or a filmmaker looking for a versatile voice for your project, let's connect and create something special together. Dhanyavaada for considering me for your music.
