Beyond film songs, I love finding new spaces for my voice. From Hindustani fusion to acapella, these projects are where I experiment, jam with friends, and share the raw emotion behind the music.
Here is my unplugged cover version of the beautiful Tamil song "Vaseegara," a collaboration with some very talented musician friends.
"Anirikshita" is an independent Kannada song I worked on. Projects like these give me the creative freedom to experiment with my vocals.
"Saware" is a Hindustani classical melody fused with an experimental lo-fi beat. It was a pleasure to collaborate on this track from the Zalim Ishq EP.
An acapella cover of the Tamil song "Iravingu Theevai." I arranged all the vocal harmonies myself for this fun project.
An impromptu jam session of a lovely Malayalam song with my brother, Siddhartha. Music runs in our family.

About Independent Music & Creative Covers
When I’m in a studio for a film, I’m working to fit a specific character's arc. But in independent music, I have the freedom to play. Whether I’m layering acapella harmonies for a cover or blending my Hindustani classical training with experimental lo-fi beats—like in my track 'Saware'—these projects are my personal laboratory. It’s just me, my collaborators, and the music, exploring textures and moods without the pressure of a script.
Independent projects allow me to bring a different kind of intensity to the mic. My background in Hindustani classical music isn't just a foundation; it’s a tool I use to experiment with genres. For example, in the song 'Anirikshita,' the goal was to find a specific emotional resonance that wouldn't necessarily fit a mainstream cinema track.
I treat every indie project, digital single, or creative cover with the same technical rigour I bring to feature films. This includes:
