160kg Single Arm Deadlift: Feats of Strength
Theory is just an opinion, but 160kg held in one hand is a fact. This is what happens when you stop guessing and start training for raw performance.
This is a 160kg single arm deadlift with no belt or straps. A year ago, I performed this feat of strength when it seemed impossible, especially after many other strong men had tried and failed. It is probably the most impressive thing I have done to date.
About Feats of Strength
The single-arm deadlift is not just about back strength. It is a masterclass in grip mechanics and stability. When you pull this much weight, any weak link in your forearm or wrist alignment becomes immediately obvious.
When I pulled 160kg with one arm, it was not about showing off. It was the result of years of specific grip conditioning using tools like axle bars and Saxon bars. Most people think a deadlift is primarily a leg exercise, but when you isolate one side, your body creates an asymmetrical load that demands total engagement from your core, lats, and especially your fingers.
At Basebell in Kalyan Nagar, we treat every session like a test. If you are struggling with your deadlift numbers, it is often not your legs that are the problem. It is your grip capacity. We break down the false grip mechanics and wrist position required to handle this kind of intensity. You do not get to this level by chasing trends. You get here by training with equipment that does not offer the comfort of standard knurling or bar diameter.
Whether you are prepping for a powerlifting meet or just want to bulletproof your joints, the principles remain the same. We use the Anvil, the Saxon bar, and high-poundage grippers to build hands that do not quit. If you want to move beyond regular gym routines and understand the science of raw force, come by the studio.
