The Axle Bar: The Foundation of Grip Strength

The Axle Bar is thicker and has no knurling, making it a true test of raw grip. We focus on the double overhand deadlift, where your grip is the only thing keeping the bar in your hands, and supplement with exercises like axle curls to build forearm strength.

The Saxon Bar & Anvil: The Ultimate Grip Tests

These are the implements that separate the serious from the curious. The square Saxon Bar challenges your pinch grip like nothing else, while the smooth, conical Anvil lift is a humbling test of palm and finger strength, inspired by old-school blacksmiths.

Specialized Grip Tools & Exercises

Beyond the main bars, we use a variety of tools to target every aspect of hand and forearm strength. This includes heavy-duty grippers up to 300lbs, plate pinching and flipping for finger strength, and gyro balls for wrist stability and rehabilitation.

Feats of Strength

This is where we put the training to the test. These are some of the lifts I'm most proud of, showing what's possible with dedicated grip and strength work.

The Basebell Story & Community

Basebell was built from the ground up with thousands of hours of work to create a space dedicated to true strength training. The real strength of the studio isn't the equipment, but the community of people who walk through the door every day to get the work done.

My Coaching Philosophy

My approach is built on real-world experience and fundamental principles, not social media trends. A good coach does more than write a workout; they guide you through a process built on consistency and making simple, effective exercises work for you.
