Conquering the Deadlift

The deadlift is the ultimate test of raw power. We build that strength with pure technique, a focused mind, and a no-excuse attitude at Ultimate Gym.

Powerlifting is the mother of all sports, and the deadlift is its heart. Here I am demonstrating proper form and control during a heavy pull.

This is a deadlift session with 85% of my 260kg PR. The goal is to hit 4 to 6 reps on the last set, building the strength and endurance needed for competition.

A student executing a strong sumo deadlift. We train different deadlift styles based on the athlete's body mechanics to maximize their pulling potential.

A clean 190kg deadlift. This shows the power that comes from consistent training and mastering the fundamentals of the lift.

I lift to conquer, not just to compete. This deadlift, captured in a gritty black and white style, reflects the raw determination of our training philosophy.

It's mind versus heart. Once your mind wins, you become the strongest person. Here, my student prepares for the Senior Nationals with his Beast Family supporting him.

Sometimes you fail. This video shows a failed attempt, but it's an important part of the process. Pushing to failure is how we find our true limits and grow stronger.

About this collection

We often lift barefoot to improve our connection with the floor, which is critical for that initial pull off the mats. I will be right there with you to correct your bar path, hip height, and lockout, ensuring you are pulling heavy weight safely rather than just moving iron for the sake of it.

The deadlift is not just about moving weight from A to B. It is about Mind vs. Heart. If your mind is weak, your back will round and the weight will stay on the floor. I teach you to engage your lats, brace your core, and drive through the ground.

At Ultimate Gym in Bhubaneswar, we do not waste time with fancy setups or useless supplements. We stick to percentage-based programs so you know exactly how much to pull each week. Whether you are prepping for the Nationals or just want to stop struggling with the bar, my method works because it is based on the basics: consistency, technique, and mental toughness.

I handle both conventional and sumo stances depending on your body mechanics. If you are training online, I need video of your sets. I do not care about the angle or the lighting; I care about your depth and your lockout. If you are in Bhubaneswar, come by the gym. You will get hands-on spotting, real-time corrections, and you will be part of the Beast Family. We do not offer sympathy for missed reps, but we do offer respect for the effort you put in to try again.
