About Our Core Courses
These are residential courses held at our ashram in the quiet Amboli hills. You will follow a structured daily routine of asana, pranayama, and meditation, complemented by selfless service and sattvic living. It is a genuine ashram experience, meant for those who are ready to disconnect from daily distractions and dedicate themselves entirely to their inner journey.
Our Approach to Yoga Education
We teach based on the five points of yoga: Proper Exercise, Proper Breathing, Proper Relaxation, Proper Diet, and Positive Thinking & Meditation. Our courses are not designed for physical fitness alone but as a path to self-knowledge. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, the requirement is a sincere desire for growth.
Core Course Structure
We offer three primary levels of residential study, each tailored to different stages of practice:
- Foundation (7 Days): A residential introduction focusing on the fundamentals of our lineage. This includes daily instruction, two sattvic meals, and a basic study of scripture.
- Philosophy Intensive (14 Days): Designed for those who have a 200-hour certification, this course dives into specialized texts like the Upanishads and Samkhya. It includes direct guidance from our senior acharyas.
- Advanced Sadhana (28 Days): A rigorous boot camp for dedicated practitioners. This phase involves enforced digital isolation, specialized salt-free dietary regimens, and up to nine hours of daily practice, including advanced pranayama and pratyahara.
Living the Ashram Life
Life at our Amboli ashram is disciplined. Days typically begin at 5:30 AM with satsang and include daily karma yoga, which involves gardening or maintenance of the premises. This is a practical application of selfless service. Expect simple, vegetarian food and basic dormitory or private room accommodation. We maintain this environment to ensure there are no distractions from the study of Vedanta and the exploration of the mind and spirit.
