Pricing Guide
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (Level 1)
Certification & Training
- Curriculum: 200+ hours covering Asana, Pranayama, Vedanta philosophy, Anatomy, and Kriyas.
- Schedule: 6 days a week, 05:30 AM to 10:00 PM regimen.
- Credentials: Yoga Alliance USA (RYS 200) certificate awarded post-exam.
- Gear: Printed training manual and Kriya Kit (Neti pot/catheter) provided.
Accommodation & Board
- Stay: 28 to 30 nights in Amboli hill station.
- Low Range: Dormitory bed (shared bath).
- Mid Range: Twin-sharing room (attached bath).
- High Range: Single private room (attached bath).
- Room Specs: Non-AC rooms with tiled floors, wooden cots, and mosquito nets.
- Food: 2 Sattvic vegetarian meals daily (10:00 AM brunch, 6:00 PM dinner) plus tea/snacks. No eggs, onion, or garlic.
- Uniforms: 2 sets of yellow/white ashram wear provided (mandatory during classes).
Ashram Lifestyle
- Daily Rituals: Morning and evening Satsang, guided meditation, and chanting.
- Karma Yoga: Mandatory 1 hour daily community service (cleaning, kitchen help, or library duty).
- Access: Use of meditation halls and library facilities.
300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training (Level 2)
Advanced Curriculum
- Prerequisite: Requires existing 200-hour certificate.
- Focus: 300 hours on advanced Pranayama, Raja Yoga Sutras, Vedanta, and Sanskrit literacy.
- Certification: Yoga Alliance USA (RYS 300) certificate. Qualifies for RYT-500 registration when combined with Level 1.
- Mentorship: High frequency of classes taught directly by the lead Acharya (Swami Govindananda).

- Low Range: Dormitory bed.
- High Range: Single private room.
- Food: 2 Sattvic vegetarian meals daily (Brunch/Dinner) plus herbal drinks. Strict vegetarian diet.

Why I Teach
I’m here to share the original wisdom of yoga, just as my Guru taught me. We face so many problems in life, mostly because we don’t know ourselves well enough. Real solutions come from self-knowledge. That’s the journey I offer.

The Courses: Foundation & Beyond
I run two levels of residential yoga teacher training in ashram:
- Level 1 (200 hours): Four weeks. Ideal if you’re searching for personal growth, not just teaching skills. No need to be super flexible or experienced. The focus is repeated practice and learning—Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga included. It can be tough, emotionally and physically, but you come out stronger and clearer.
- Level 2 (300 hours): For those who’ve finished Level 1. Four weeks of intense asana, deeper pranayama, and traditional yoga philosophy course (think Patanjali’s Raja Yoga, Sanskrit, and more).
Living Yoga in Amboli
You’ll stay at our ashram in the hills, far from city noise. Life here is simple. We eat sattvic diet yoga program meals, follow a daily routine, and connect as a community. It’s not always easy, but the peace and clarity you find are real.

My Story
Hari Om. We’re Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham, started by Swami Govindananda after years with his Guru at Sivananda Ashram, Kerala. Used to be in the world of Physics and Education, but spiritual life pulled stronger. Since ’87, it’s been all about sharing yoga and Vedanta—sometimes with jokes, always with clarity. Our joy is seeing folks find their own inner spark, not just follow instructions. Amboli hills, good vibes, living truth.
